 Race/Jockey Instructions
I never used Instructions much in so3,so how can i tell if my horse needs holding up or early pace ,challenge early or challenge late etc ? And how important is it to give these instructions,do ppl use it for most horses ?
Thanks,Alan.

Some horses like to run at the front and some don't. It is an individual horse trait. Lately I don't give instructions at all, I let the jockey ride it. But if you are racing a shorter race than the horses breeding avg you could try challenging early. But to do so the horse would need to race at a lower class level. It is best to race within +/- 2F of breeding avg generally. Some horses can race shorter or longer but are the exception. That is my take on it.
