 You Plonker Rodney!!
After installing the latest patch, I was having difficulty loading one of my saved games that I was using to breed league horses. I'd obviously changed something in one of the data sections but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what!
So I decided to uninstall everything and try to figure it out, piece by piece. I had my data mods backed up along with the changes to the gfx folder, and backed up my saved game folder. Cleared everything of my pc and reinstalled the game.
Unable to work out what it was I'd changed, I figured, sod it, just start again. A couple of seasons into my new game, I exported my first horse to the Ck to test it, only to be greeted by a moment of horror, when it dawned on me the one thing I hadn't backed up was my exported horses. My CK standard setters GONE. My CK pacemakers GONE. My 13 league horses GONE. That included my star 2yo filly who could run 1:35:2 on good ground over a mile at Newmarket.
And because it took me 24 hours to notice, my protection software had run over night and damaged the files that were recoverable to such a degree I can't repair them.
WHAT A PLONKER!!

Ouch.
Lesson to be learned here. Back up horses & saved game EVERY day. I do incase I have a senior moment like this.

Just out of curiosity, at what weight did it get this time because that seems very fast for a two year old.

Don't I know it. She destroyed any other 2yo I had over a mile and 9f, at every course and on any ground. I trial in G1 races so she would carry 9 stone.
Still gutted about it a day later!!

Well if there's one person that didn't deserve something like that it's you. But no doubt you'll be able to get back to that level pretty quickly.....

That sucks!
Good luck with a new game, sounds lame but I really mean it. Just wiped my pc and know how easy such a thing can be and I know to some extent what monsters you already had. Pretty sure you will be still a force to be reckoned with.

The only other times I had written down that she did were 1:53:3 at Ayr over 9f on good and 1:44:2 on soft ground over a mile at Ascot as I was comparing her to last seasons winners of Filly G1's that I was planning to take her to this season.
None of my other 2yo's were good enough to beat my older horses so I guess she was just a bit of a freak, especially as she was just average when exported at 3 and 4, and her off-spring weren't that special either.

Yes and no. I had two folders, League horses and CK horses which then split into distances ordered by age. Only trouble was, to make life easy when moving the group of horses I wanted from the relevant section to the 'horses' folder, I kept everything inside the 'exports' folder. Only I forgot this when having as Jay put it, a senior moment and despite backing up just about every other part of the game, for some reason I hadn't done them yet.

I still have my jaw dropped about this, feel so bad for ya mate as i tell ya after 28 seasons my in game course record is 1.36.8 and this is 4yo. This 2yo was a pure freak according to my times mate may be wrong but this looked different class!!
