How have you been getting on with your NH game HurricaneRun? are you getting the idea how to do things?

No I'm not. As I said at the time of uploads I felt I didn't have anything I really wanted to enter in the league.

erm i started up a game , went back onto my flat game to get thru a season so i could transfer horses. and now i am about to put a few hours into my nh game and see where i go. hopefully by sunday i can tell you i won the gold cup and grand national!!

As I posted somewhere else. I didn't think any of mine would compete and I then had 5 festival winners and 3 seconds from 10 runners! Sods law that is!! I'll probably still wait until next season to get involved. Hope you've found some of the advice helpful.

ok im ready to give u a little update:
basically i got rid of all the horses I was given at the beginning - they were useless. I imported 6 horses from my flat game and used these. After using the first half of the season to suss them out, I got 1st and 2nd place in the Supreme Novices at the festival, and won the RSAchase 'at a canter' by 9 lengths. The 3 good novice hurdlers just 'went wrong' between end of season and start of 2nd season because they have become completley useless and I have no idea why.

BUT MY RSA WINNER!!he is amazing and Im chuffed because I predicted he would be my best import. He fell in his first race but has then won 2consecutive lancashire chases, 2 consec King Georges, 2 consec Gold cups, and finished 3rd in the punchestown gold cup. Obv he is rated 180 and he is a machine.

RACE BUILDER- my 180 star chaser does win over 3m -3m6 in the ck, but it does get beat now and again off one of my flat horses. What i would like to ask is if it is normal for your flat horses to run star chasers or hurdlers close in the race builder. It just makes me question the need for starting a jumps game if i can upload my flat horses to the nh league?sorry if that doesnt make sense!!

Not in any way trying to take away from your success, just making a comment. I have found the Gold Cup and the top 3m+ races really easy to win, especially with flat horses against the slow jumpers, also I think this is partially because I've noticed some of the top 3m horses from other stables seem to go to the Ryan air, then the Gold Cup the next year. It's really weird. But it feels great to win it!

The 2m horses I struggle with the most which is where I thought bringing in some lines from the flat could help me do well with the 2 milers. A little like the sprinters on the flat they seem few and far between. Like you I've had Supreme Novices' winners who in their second and 3rd seasons turn into less than ordinary handicappers. Now this is representative of many of the Supreme Novice horses, they look good as novices but can't hack it with the'big boys' then a season or two later they land a big handicap and make their way back up again.

This doesn't seem to happen in the game, I've had one horse who went from Supreme glory to run extremely well against the other top 2milers and he won 4 G1's in the process, never won the Champion but he was still great. But no such luck yet, I have a novice this year who won 2/3 feature NHF races, and has so far won 2/3 feature novices hurdles. I wouldn't be surprised if she won the Supreme, but I doubt she'll go on. You seem to be getting through the seasons fast it'd be interesting to see what some of your flat breeding produces and if they can hold their own against the good flat horses.

I have found that although I don't have many top flat horses and even those I think are mediocre that they can sometimes give my jumpers a run for their money. You could try uploading your flat horses which jump well into the league and see how they do. As an experiment maybe!

im just worried that if my star chaser cant beat my flat horses then they will all get stuffed in the league.
yeah im getting thru the seasons fast because i dont have many horses at the minute and also because you can only run each horse so many times a year. maybe im doing something wrong?
im gunna have a go at bringing a few horses from my flat game in but im also starting to breed in the jumps game aswell.
i know some of the big races are easy to win but yeah they do feel great. im desperate for a grand national horse
