Hi DB, As you have a lot on your plate with all the other mods that you're doing, I will add the extra races to the French showcases file, if that's ok? I'd quite like to do this, as I rewrote the French showcases file from scratch for the game. I will add lots of listed races with up-to-date 2012 prize money and conditions, as well as a selection of real-life 2yo and 3yo maidens, so that people playing the game can really expand on the French side of things if they choose. If there are any races in particular that you had in mind, let me know.

Your more than welcome to Panther, that would help a lot. I had a chance to get round to the horse portraits today, bit different to those done by Jamie. I'm sure you all know where they go by now, if you want them and I'll try and get the course ones done tomorrow. http://www.mediafire.com/file/259kmta90 ... horses.zip

I want to add maidens into the French and Irish showcase files, mostly 2yo maidens, maybe a couple of early season 3yo ones. I also need to go through all the trainer/jockey names and see if I can trim the fat, so that stables are all a bit nearer capacity.
1 How do you mess around with the schedules i would like to put in new type of races but i am to old to start messing around with files but would be interested in using these. 2 where do you find the jockeys/trainers list to edit i want to edit some names in like old great time trainers and jockeys like John Francome lester piggot etc.

You need to go into the Starters Orders 5 folder, (Program Files) and then into the data folder. You'll find the jockey and trainers files in the relevant country folders (1-11) and you can just edit the names to what you want, and save. I've never used the schedule editor, even when it has been working, so the only way I change/edit schedules is through the files themselves. With them now being unencrypted, it's less of a hassle than it was, but you obviously need to know what goes where when creating a race in a showcase, and then implementing it in a schedule. The schedule and showcase files are in the same folders (1-11) as where you will find the jockey/trainer names.

I understand that the only problem is when i go into folder 1 it says edit names i click into that folder but that folder is empty.

You need to enter through the main game files, which are found at: C: Program Files: Starters Orders 5: data: 1 In that folder, you will find the _jockeys and _trainers files.

Right, the course portraits are finished. I've not done the Australian and US folders, only Flemington and Santa Anita, but all other folders are completely revamped. eg.... http://www.mediafire.com/file/uvhlf49c0 ... traits.zip
