Re: anyone noticed if potential rating bar
Hey everyone. ive noticed for 100% that the potential bar does increase on horses had a 3yo with 75% full by the end of its 4 yo racing season it was moreless full. i believe its how well the horse uns in the races selected. this has happend numerous times for me. so my adivce keep them till there 4. even sometimes they may have potential but never furfil it.

Re: anyone noticed if potential rating bar
It will only happen with those that are raw in their youth and have a lot of dark green bar to work with. The dark green part is the average i'd guess, develop well and you'll exceed that projection, develop poorly and you'll never reach it.

Re: anyone noticed if potential rating bar
I have no hard evidence yet since my sample size is only two horses. But I have had two horses sustain very serious injuries (90+ days) and the next year they come back with less potential. Both horses were pretty bad anyways so I am not sure if there is correlation=cause or not.

Re: anyone noticed if potential rating bar
I have also now definitely noticed an increase in the total potential of the potential bar. I have a screenshot at home which I can provide if necessary.
Something I have noticed though and only has a very small sample size of 2 seasons is that the horse that was my best 2yo in terms of potential is by far my best horse in the CK when I export them all at 3 even if some of the others have similar potential. As I say though small sample so could easily be coincidence!

Therefore there has to be room for improvement, and room for ambiguity as nothing is exact. if the bar was always as it is when you get a horse, then there would be no need for it. Horses change from year to year, so, so should the bar.

Re: anyone noticed if potential rating bar
i dont think the potential bar changes the light green fills the dark green but the black gap does not appear to change if someone has evidence would like to see it would be great

Getting evidence for you may take a little while.

Surely it cant go beyond the dark green bar - otherwise its gone beyond the horses maximum potential, which doesn't make any sense?

Horses change from year to year, so, so should the bar. Im not disputing the fact that horses overall ability should go up and down with age, maturity, injury etc but IMO the overall potential ability should be set and that is as good as the horse will ever get. For example if horse A has a max potential of 9/10 then that is as good as it will ever be if it is trained properly, matures, no injuries/quirks etc. It might start life as a 2yo with a current ability of 5/10 and then progress to 7/10 at 3 and then 9/10 when its 4 or 5. At the moment it doesnt really show you too much and the way the bar is labelled is a bit misleading. Absolute potential suggests the maximum ability of the horse ever, which it doesnt.

I didnt save the screenshot though so I have done it again with a couple of my 2yos this season and will put up a screen print when I complete the season.

Re: anyone noticed if potential rating bar
Will run a test game and get some screenshots I think, managed to get a 6/8 horse to 9.5/10 in a test game yesterday so should be repeatable.
