New horses.dat file created without gender names
I have created a new horse name data file that eliminates all the gender names so that you don't have colts with feminine names and vice versa. I have used a database I created for SO4 and amalgamated it with a part of exxplozion's database (with gender names removed). I have attached a link in case anyone would like access to it. http://www.mediafire.com/?c4x9667r8v3nvtv

This is brilliant. Thanks!
Annoys me a bit when a name like 'King Daniel' wins the 1000 Guineas or Oaks!

Program files/Starters Orders 5/data. Then folder 1 if playing UK, 2 if USA and 3 in Aust. Then opens the horses file using notepad. Delete the horses in there and copy and paste the new ones in.

I you sure you don't have notepad? I thought it was preloaded on all computers these days. If you put the cursor over the file, right click and select 'Open with' does it not give you notepad as as option?
Yes, unfortunately you will need to start a new game.

Also, don't forget that everytime you get a patch you have to put the horse name database back in to overwrite the original one again.

Great work Alfamann, did something similar myself, and I know how much hard work it is to go through 16,000 plus horse names.
