MJ,

Thanks for all the hard work. Looking forward to all the great tracks.
On Aqueduct, the SO6 version is nice but off on the size. They have a 10 furlong main track with a 9 furlong chute.

In real life Aqueduct has a 9 furlong main track with an 8 furlong chute. Their biggest race the Wood Memorial (9 furlongs)
starts in front of the stands. In SO6 it would start from the 9 furlong chute. Its all up to you to decide which version to create.
What ever is easier for you. But the the game version would be wrong and you seem to like to make accurate versions.
Belmont is so good. Thanks again for your efforts, the tracks are great.

P.S. You guys born in the 90's sure missed out on the 70's. My favorite horse was Forego. He won grade 1 races from 7 furlongs
to a 1 1/2 miles in the same year toting up to 137 pounds. I was fortunate to see almost all his NY races. Secretariat, Slew, Affirmed.
I was lucky to see them all in NY. What an era!!!!!!!!!

I would change the scale of Aqueduct to reflect the correct circumference, don't worry! Just the environment around it. Probably will redo the whole thing but I'll make that decision when I get there.

And Forego was just an amazing horse! Could tackle any distance and just was rompingly dominant. 70s were one of the greatest eras of racing and one that will never get repeated. So wish I was alive for that!

Post Re: Start It 2.1
Between going to Monmouth Park with my family (closed out the day strong with hitting the final two race of the day with some nice priced horses!), watching Royal Ascot, cheering on Italy in their World Cup match today (a sad loss), I was able to find time to work on Saratoga and let me just say that it brought a tear to my eye. Whether it was the forest surroundings, or the old grandstand, or the hedges on the turf instead of the rails, or the gazebo in the infield (well a tent... But we can imagine) or even the canoe in the lake (again a tent... Just with the top showing...) this track is beautiful. I might even say that it looks better then my Belmont model. A very nicely done Saratoga, if I do say so myself.
Next up is Keeneland, future Breeders Cup host. After a trip to the Blue Grass track, I'll head to the other side of Kentucky for Churchill Downs, before finishing up with Aqueduct. At the rate I am going at, I will probably be done with all the tracks by Tuesday, run final tests Wednesday, and release Wednesday night or Thursday. Will keep you posted though. I will have it out before next Friday since I won't be home from June 27th until July 9th (gunna miss the editor). Alright. I'm off to go sleep (hopefully...) and I will talk to ya'll soon! Good Night!

Oooohhh!! Good idea! I'll work on Ruidoso during my third track pack. Sounds like fun! Turf Paradise and Sunland Park are fun too with the desert backdrop.

Funny enough im working on Sunland Park now( while the football on telly and US racing on my computer), early on I was creating Mt Rainer for Emerald Downs. The only thing is that I've not got enough different colours, I wanted snow on the top of my Mt Rainer but I used all my squares up. I've only just started to mess with the landscapes today, it's good fun.

I've yet to try the landscapes out. I was toying around with it once and it didn't want to work and got me very annoyed so I stopped... I'll probably try it again once I need to do courses that have different terrain heights.

Mt Rainier near Emerald Downs.

I wasn't going to do it either but I started Ruidoso and I saw the mountains around it and I thought why not just try and it wasn't that bad and I was well happy with the results and went back and made Mt Rainer.

NICE!!! Looks really good!!
Some advice for the textures, zoom out on them (the little yellow box next to the texture. Left click and hold while scrolling down). Zooming out will make them look much more realistic.

Hi Mj,

I haven't downloaded your pack yet but do your courses start at the correct chutes?

And if there are 2 or more chutes are they correctly starting from them?

Thanks.

As Ghostzapper said, only one chute is allowed to be added to a course.
Also, the courses right now in the download are not the courses that I have made, just the default ones. The first 10 courses I've done will be released next week.

While clicking on the yellow box above the texture, use the scroll on your mouse to zoom out. You will see the textures zooming out (becoming smaller).
If you do not see the yellow box, there is a gfx patch available in the Course Editor forum.
