Post Confused
Now I will start of by saying that I think( for a long time) the CK is not trustworthy and is rubbish compared to SO5.

I will also say that I've spent more time playing the jumps game compared to the flat this time but these results are just odd.

I ran Steve's monster against my hurdlers and have a look at the result and please tell me what u think

Musical Bliss and Cool Majong was running for Steve and My best 1m4 horse was running in Summitvile( got a kicking).

I'm confused about what it means. Should this be happening.

They are all 2m hurdlers. So how can hurdlers compete with the best flat horses.

The amazing thing is my three best were Jinxy Jack - Gaye Brief- Smarts Castle are all brothers and sisters. I checked after the races and I was amazed after all the breeding I've done, I never check the family history.

If u look at the family history there's Moorestyle who was a front running 6F horse that was good but was not one of my best but I wanted to put some front running ability into my jumpers so I used him and that was around September time. He's the only flat horse on the Dam side.

The Male side is all flat apart from Elaine Man, Corrupt and Clowning Moments are some of the first horses I ever bred and Top Class was a good 1m4 horse in around September but was not one of my best and I only bred from him because he was the best of the flat horses over my hurdle trials.

|There is no top class flat breeding in the family so how can they compete with Steve's beast. I don't know where it comes from.

Have I missed something breeding or is there a flaw in the game.

As the results are fairly similar I don't think you can blame the CK.
If you have been concentrating on NH horses and you have been breeding to a high standard, then they will still be top class when you switch them to the flat.
Likewise if you have top class flat horses and transfer them to NH they will still perform well.
The problem is you don't know what distance is best when you switch codes, a lot of flat bred horses won't stay 2m but some of my best 2m hurdlers in previous versions of SO have been sprinters.
It is quite common for league players who concentrate on one code to trial their horses over the other code for entering in the league and have some success.
As far as the CK is concerned my problem is consistency, I think I have found a new star when I run trials and then later when I run them again with some new blood they fail to perform and something that was 5th or 6th string previously suddenly becomes my best.
It may just be that my horses are of similar ability and it's hard to find the best but I always ignore the first race in trials as it usually throws up an odd result.
Ah well, back to breeding and see if I can find something to compete with steve's horses :)

I'll agree with u about the CK, the results are all over the place. I'm sure we are all getting shot of horses that we should be keeping. I think the jumps CK is worse than then flat because it pulls up on average 3 horses every race, I've had horses pull up 6 out of eight races and u never know what there ability is. Also Mark has changed the dynamics of the races a few times and it changes how good a horse is.

Well I solved the mystery as to why Gaye Brief is so good it's because of his mum. I ran his mum and dad on the flat and even though his dad had a lot of flat pedigree he was very average and yet the jump bred Mum was outstanding.

I've gone right back to the beginning with her pedigree and there is only one grass Flat horse in it and that was a horse called Cry for the Clown who was bred on the 13 July and it was only 4 days after Mark restarted the game. There was one other flat horse in the entire pedigree and it was a US dirt horse called Cool Diablo that is 5 times removed from Gaye Brief.

I am now wondering what I've missed out on with Smashing Gales babies, she was bred on the 20 September so I've probably chucked away a lot of good flat horses :( I'm a poor breeder.
