Post Wanted Race Runner and Handicapper For New League
Has above I expect Kevcon will again volunteer to do some race running for the league but i won't be able to do it myself has i will be doing other things. The other Runner was Nashwan but not seen Nash for a while so the league will need Two volunteers who can spend a few hours on a Sunday to runner 10 Flat and 10 Jump Races each it can take a couple of hours has you can't skip or use tab while running the races. The all race even the Grand National must be run without skipping or using tab to quicken up the race a Race Kit will be provided has soon has Mark as released one.

Handicapper - I expect has in SO5 we will need a Handicapper for the flat Ratings I done it for the last two league seasons would like to know would anyone like to have a go I expect a Flat horse that wins a Maiden automatically gets a Rating of 110 and you work backwards from that has maiden races in the opening weeks are quite big. You will have to work through Dropbox extract the Horse Files from the folders and Manually adjust ratings in your CK then place the adjusted Horse files back in Dropbox in the correct Folder.

Do I need a computer that can run races with all race options switched on and turned up to 11?

If so, I won't be able to run races for a while. I built a new system in November but have decided to wait for Nvidia Pascal (or the AMD equivalent) to be released before splashing out on a graphics card. At the moment I'm relying on the onboard graphics which gives me 60fps on low settings but it does drop below that now and again.

Kev.

I'd be up for doing the Handicap Ratings for the flat. I have experience of keeping my own ratings. Anything to help get this league going again, can't wait!

I don't think that would be a problem Kev not sure I think it would be if we was doing streaming or something live I just bought a graphics Card £50 on e-bay waiting for it I am sure the guys don't care if some graphics are turned down has long as the league is up and running.

P.S Kev I will send you a invite to the new starters orders 6 Dropbox which we will be using.

Im Getting Frame rate warnings in game all the time on fairly low setting so very much doubt it would be much good think
you need a fairly beefy deasktop PC if it comes to it and you need someone i will do it but see if anyone else comes forward

Am happy to commit to all the bits i used to do which takes up a fair bit of time also my website is now an all year round venture
since Joey has gone training but very happy to make time to do what i have already mentioned.

As for the handicapping I Honestly would not know where to start but sounds like you have found a great candidate there Gray

OK Gray. Latest news is Pascal GPUs might be out in April, so I should only be running on low settings for the first half of the season. Got your email so just need to re-install dropbox :D.

Do you have start date in mind for the league? I was thinking about using TOM to run a few trial races early March so that we can check everything is working ok, new trainers can see how it works and new race secs can have a bit practice if they haven't used the race kit before. If everything is ok, how about having week 1 entries close at the end of Cheltenham Festival week (Saturday 19 March).

Not sure of the start date yet has a few things need to be done like the new race kit and leon is going to test it when he gets a few uploaded horse files on Tom and looks like some alterations in the schedule has there's a lot of Irish Courses in the schedule on the NH side which didn't come with SO6 there's 4 Racecourse's in week 1 which need to changed so it could start later yet anyway.

No worries Gray. I didn't realize some of the Irish tracks were missing compared to S05.
