 Re: League
We better wait for the race runners opinion I think a 24 week commitment its a bit long and I am sure you have to pay to use fraps again the race runner might not want to buy it although coms are good we don't need coms on every race just 1 or 2 a day by cutting back on races might cause its own problems its taken a while to build for everyone in the schedule and we all know trainers quickly drop out or give up and spreading it out longer will in my opinion make it more likely.

Gray There are better options than FRAPS. I'll look into it.

 Re: League

Gray Good idea. Would add more to the races. Me and Paul could pool resources on the flat (possibly me) and jumps (possibly Paul).

 Re: League
I would keep the schedule as it is, at least for now, and as Follis has said we could run half flat and half jumps each week. Another option would be to run flat races one week and jumps the next. Either option would give more time for newsletters, race previews, betting etc. As far as recording, encoding and uploading the races goes, https://obsproject.com/ is free so I'll give it a try and see how well that works over the next few days.

Gray If you do decs on a Friday night and get the races to me by Saturday evening in South Australia I can bang out quite a few race calls. I guess it would just come down to how long it takes to embed the audio to the vid.

 Re: League
Its probably best we run a trials day. Which will enable me to check everything is working and for Gray to see how long races and uploads will take.
Will probably be a truncated schedule for NH and flat. I have a trial schedule ready so can change some settings and make it active in TOM
It will also give and idea to people where they are. So may be good to have a 2 or 3 week break after trials before the season starts

 Re: League
I had a look around and probably the best option is ShadowPlay included free with GeForce experience. You must have a Geforece card 600 series or above for this to work. I guess shadow play uses hardware so it should not slow your machine down and the results are good. You need to tweak some settings to get it working. I have only tried a short 5f race so far. Download and install the latest GEFORCE EXPERIENCE. You must have a 600 series GeForce card or better. Open GEFORCE EXPERIENCE (you must be connected to the internet). Click the PREFERENCES tab. Click SHADOWPLAY on the left. Make sure the ALLOW DESKTOP CAPTURE is checked. Scroll down and under the RECORDINGS header set the output destination. Note that it the movies may end up in a sub folder in this folder so maybe set the SAVE LOCATION to a new location on your hard drive rather than the default. Click the SHADOWPLAY button (top-right). A box will pop up. Make sure the switch (left) is on (with a green light). Make sure MODE is MANUAL. Set QUALITY to LOW. Even on low it is maybe not low enough. A 5F 720p race was about 170mb. That would make a jumps race too big (and a longer upload). Experiment with the CUSTOM settings to bring it down further. Run SO6 and select 1280x720 Full screen. You must use full screen mode. To start recording hit ALT F9. A small icon may appear bottom right. To stop recording hit ALT F9 again. It looks like you can also record external audio (for coms) while capturing which would save time but I have not tried this.

 Re: League
I use bandicam its great and dead easy to use you have to pay for it but i have already paid for it to make videos for my website I can send Licence no to the race runners if they agree to delete after the season ends as i dont believe in pirate copies of anything I like to do things by the book but this is a special circumstance and would save race runners paying out of there own pockets maybe you guys will find something better that is free just putting the option out there for you to consider its an option. http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/

Gray I have used OBS a lot both for YouTube videos and streaming live to Twitch.tv - works well, easy to learn and customise how things look, and (with my fairly hefty pc) the quality is very high. I'd highly recommend it.

I now have a 150mb line in the USA... wonder what it could be now! Overall I think YouTube is getting quicker though, they streamlined the uploading process last year and continue to work on it.

What size was the video?
