My stayers can't jump and my jumpers don't stay. The joy of finding a GN horse

I'm assuming real life age restrictions apply for this?

I'm going to enter

10yo Danehill Dancer & 8yo Bavarian Nordic

I'll have 20 flat runners and 30 NH runners but not sure how good they will be.

Good to hear Jimmy. A nice large barn of runners added to the league.

Minimmum age 5. Also, obviously the race will not be run as a handicap.

Will be sending 2, just have to play another season for my horse to age to 9

What price will I get on the horse with the stats below winning the national. Just need to age him a year.

sent my two.

Cairo 7yo - very good 3m chaser that managed to win most of my national trials which is probably more an indication of how bad my national horses are.
Lady Tahiti 9yo - oldest jumper I have and is a bit of a plodder. mid field finish is probably the best I can hope for.

Have just been gathering jumps horses for the league. Is there any way to know if your unraced horse is better at hurdles or chase?

I usually follow the same pattern with my homebreds - run a few flat races at 3 and then some juvenile hurdles. At 4 I throw them into feature hurdles. At 5 I start running them in chase races. Same at 6 and then I retire. I transfer pool them at 5 so as to have the horse at peak potential.

I went through all of my transfer pool horses and wrote down their jump ability and jump speed potential. The highest ability I found was 50% and the highest speed was 90%. Has anyone seen a 100% in either of these two categories? The jump bar in the main parameters box is usually below 50% Is this jump bar more important than the two jumping bars in the stats box?

At present almost all my jumpers have a 100% fast jumps bar I have a few with a 100% safe jumps bar. In the main stats screen the jumps bar grows with age. The highest I have is 90%, but have a lot over 50%. Almost all my jumps horses have good as a jumps stat. You can see this by going to the training screen and it will tell you the jump ability and agility. Just hover over the training circle to change horse views. A horse can have good as a jumps stat but nothing in the jumps bar. Horses with poor and very poor jumping fall a lot. Average is ok especially over hurdles, but they fall more than you would want over fences.

Trialing or in game play are the only way to know which is better over hurdles or chases.

Yes I forgot to mention the jump category in the training screen. I can get good in most of my horses. The two jumps bars in the stats screen you can get 100%? Hmmm I have yet to see it once in any horse. Thanks Leon.

This the best jump ability bar I've seen in a horse but the problem is that he had 35 foals and not one came out with it good. The best he could do was a round 20% so I threw him out.

There is no way of knowing what a horse is before they run, what I do is very early on throw the kitchen sink at breeding then CK them then split them up into group's. I never breed hurdlers to chasers, they stay in the own groups with hurdlers bred to hurdlers with chasers bred to chasers then I know exactly what they are.
