Ribblesdale Stakes 1.4 G2 fillies - Musical Shredder - my best 3yo filly at this distance, found seriously wanting in this class despite multiple in game G1 successes. Back to the drawing board on my 1.4 lines it seems.

Go Racing in Yorkshire 1.2 Maiden - Fong X - genuine 1.2 sort who battled on gamely for my first place, pleasantly surprised.

Ascot Totequadpot Maiden 6f - Master Professor - really a 7f to mile horse, in need of a run, questionable wisdom of entering a 4yo, learning curve continues.

King Edward 1.4 G2 - Better Late Than Never - huge disappointment with this one, was utterly dominant in game as a 3yo won everything and even got a 2nd in the Arc at this age, best I have breed just shy full potential, blown away here, and another that leaves me with a lot of work to do at this distance, and likely a little head scratching.

Paris Pike Novice Chase 2.6 - Jesters Armour - better over 2.4 and he faded a little towards the end, had expected him to fall away into the pack, but battled on gamely for 3rd, even had a minor rally, should have been 2nd sure that jockey could have worked harder.

Peterborough Chase G2 - Banjo Kid - multiple Ryanair winner in game, had high hopes, until the horse decided the whole affair would be far easier without the inconvenience of a jockey. Class in this high standard remains unknown.

For someone to come in to the league for the first time and midway through a season and get those results and even a place is extremely good going. The 1m4f horses are the hardest I find, I've been in the league for over 7/8 years and never had a 1m4f horse better than listed class regardless of how many in game group races it won! Keep at it though and I reckon you could be up there at the top in the coming seasons.

The flat went as I expected, poorly, a 9th and a 10th place. With the helpfull advice I have been getting in another thread, I have started a new bredding program and hopefully next season will be better.

Good day for a couple of my new uploads in the NH.

Gentleman Spy ran a nice 4th in the G2 Peterborough Chase.

Ferocious Girl won race 15, the Novice chase over 2m 5f. She is the daughter of my best horse Numerator Girl a 2 miler. I have another one of her daughters running in race 28.

Demon King finally had a good race to finish 3rd in race 16, the Majordomo handicap chase.

I had a couple of other runners but they finished well down th field.

Appreciate the comments nick, am really enjoying the added dimension of a league and the challenge of playing people over code. Though I think I have a lot of rethinking to do in the way i approach my breeding and trailing.

Re-Run addition - Tercentenary Stakes G3 1.2 - Master X Fisher - performed decently as a 3yo in game with some g1's but never a star, never really featured here with his usual last 2f charge being nullified by the monsters he was chasing, another who will look for some scope in the handicaps.

The Tsarevich ran poorly of a low weight, should have been retired.

Brown Wren had a real poor days jumping, fell in the end.

Yorkshire Gale ran Ok in the Peterborough, possibly not group class.

Bellator is as tough as teak. Is bred in the purple by Callisoe Bay out of a unraced mare by Christmas River. He has Callisoe's speed and River's stamina.

Post Re: League Weekly reaction
Am in a state of shock, 3 winners!!! Numerically that is without the best day I have ever had in the league, in fact it is the best week I have ever had.

Flat R17 - Dashing Kenyan, my favourite game horse as she was from my first crop and retired unbeaten (flat and hurdles), gave me my first royal ascot winner. Was seriously impressive and subsequently hammered (rightly so) by the handicapper. I thought she had blown her mark last week and she try group races now as anything ow is a bonus.

Jumps R11 - Delorain my national horse won, despite me telling the jockey to go easy, but thankfully has been treated quite leniently by the handicapper. Will be wrapped in cotton wool now until the big day and I will let a certain bookmaker sweat :) .

Jumps R20 - Philipstown Vienna - A weird one this. A flat reject, even though he was the best 2yo in game horse I had and a seriously good 6 furlong sprinter. I uploaded him to try in bumpers and he was useless, tried him over hurdles and he was useless, but it turns out he's a reasonable chaser. He has no jumps bar at all and jumping is described as very poor in the training screen. I do wish those jumps bars had more meaning in the game.

One thing that probably made a big difference to my fortunes was that all 3 received absolutely brilliant rides. They are all hold up horses and instead of hugging the outside rail the jockeys all kept to the inner and weaved their way through, Philipstown Vienna definitely wouldn't have won coming wide, I only wish they would keep riding like that.

Congrats to all winners and thanks to every one running the league.

P.S. Regarding the annoying "pull-ups" in the long distance jumps races. Delorain was a victim of one of these in his first race so got a very lenient mark as a result. There seems to be a glitch in the racekit that automatically pulls up the last horse at certain stages and sometimes you could throw a blanket over the whole field and it is unfair on whomever is last at that point. But sooner or later the horse will complete and it will be on a very favourable mark.

Flat

R13- NO CLASS- 6th- Doesnt seem to stay beyond 2m2, will be dropped back in trip next week.
R16- WONDER ESOPETA- 1st- Won nicely in the rerun. Might have been a different result if the favourite for the race didn't have a penalty to carry.
R21- SAGESCO- 1st- My most impressive winner of the week, only won by a short head in the end but had to carry 6lbs more than the rest.
R22- SIMPLY KIND- 3rd- Solid race, hopefully there's a group race in her somewhere but i think a few trainers have better 3yo milers than me.
R24- ELUSIVE- 1st- Thought this one would run a big race on debut, much better than my other stayers in the league. Better over 1m6 so the main target is the Ledger.

NH

R11- ASHES STAR- 10th- National horse. Has a high mark so hopefully he will run some more stinkers before Aintree.
R12- RED MAKER- 5th- Not sure what to do with this one. Mark is creeping up, might need a shorter trip.
R14- PRINCE DE MORAY-1st - Newcomer who after 2m5f couldnt be seperated with Paul's horse (first dead heat of the season?), ran a great race sticking to the rails and cruising from the rear.
R15- PANTER- 6th- Seems to find himself wide in most of his races, with better luck he could go close.
R16- MR TIMES- U- Failed to finish in 3 of 5 starts, might try hurdles.
R17- DIAMOND LANE- 2nd- Great run, seems to run her race every time and finish in the money.
R18- DINHO- 2nd- Good run but was never going to get near the impressive RIVER DONN.
R19- NEVER- 3rd- Certain he can win a race off this mark just needs to have a good round of jumping.
R20- BULROG- 6th- Has work to do to get near the top 3m novices.

With horses being pulled up - it's a strange thing....when calling it is usually horses that have been caught last that get pulled up but not always.
During calls I have seen horses who are in the back part of the field getting pulled up.
I also have a theory as well after witnessing one of my horses getting pulled in a 5 horse race - for the first part of the race my horse was behind the 4 other horses but it was always "on the heels"
of the other runners and it kept on getting "checked" by the jockey...he was constantly standing up in the irons......then it got pulled up.
Could there be something in the game that if your horse gets into too much trouble it is pulled?

Also I have called horses (one of mine included) who have been tailed off for the last third to half of the race that still complete the race (flat and jumps).

It happens much more in the jumps races but then again I watched the Grand National earlier this month and tail markers were regularly getting pulled up - but I have no idea if this is common in other jumps races during the NH season.

So, personally I think it is just a random thing in the game.....just like falling or losing the rider - and it is not only just long shots getting pulled - it is well rated runners as well. That's why I think the NH is a more even playing ground than the flat because it has more scope for upsets and a better chance of your horse placing. It can also break your heart ie Douglas Barber!

This bug of sorts is a pain in the butt with my 10yo El Libertador. He always runs last early and eventually grinds his way to the front half with 2 furlongs left. He pulls up every other race maybe most likely for the simple fact he is last at the moment.

Another middle of the pack week. I can't live on 4th and 5th place checks forever with an occasional 1'st, 2nd or 3'rd. Do you know what I pay Obi Wan to be my retained trainer? Do you?!?!?!

The one bright moment was Townsville missing by a nose hair in the Wokingham Handicap to the mysterious Player 1. It's not hard when you start any SO6 game to spend 15 seconds typing in a trainer name or something recognizable. Just a pet peeve of mine. No biggie.

Congrats to winners especially to Pommard for the big day.

And to Colsey for the Group 1 - You are now allowed access to Group Won - An upscale Restaurant/Bar/Club where us Group 1 winners hang out on race day. The current members are questioning my membership status in regards to my recent form. You can find me at the buffet wolfing down Baltimore Style crab cakes and sobbing.

------------------------------

I have never seen a horse in SO6 do what Frederick did in R32 Ascot Commonwealth Cup's final furlong. Such a late burst defies description. Watch the horse in black and white on the rail. This was at Group 1 level.

That last furlong was ridiculous, don't know where that turn of foot came from.

Now that Jalupen has probably stopped and John has stopped on the flat, I think I'm going to put my horses in just group 1's, apart from a few i dont think are that good and the 2yo's because there's only a few Group 1 races for them. Should make the league more fun imo.

That race was amazing! I was already to call Absiel (I think the name was) the winner when Frederick roared on the rail. Such an exciting race!
