Post Up coming races.
So this week is the English Grand National?
If so and this is more a question for Gray. Is it possible - to piece together comms of 3+ callers? just like the actual GN where there is a handful of callers?
I'm real cool to call the race by myself - just think it would be a nice touch if we could all chip in.
My early thoughts are (if it is possible) each caller starts and ends their call from designated spots and Gray joins them together?
PS I definitely want to call the finish :-) I've been thinking about calling the finish and what
i'll say, all this season lol :-)

ALSO

On the last week of racing we are in Japan and Australia. Can SCATTERS (or whoever) please do those races in metric and NOT imperial?
It would give authenticity and occasion to the races and I cannot wait to do comms for those races - I'm getting excited just thinking of saying "At the hundred" or "Four hundred to go" :-)

I think doing the National like real life where it is shared out would be awesome and I'd certainly help you out, be great to call it... straight in at the deep end after 1 comm haha but I think I could handle it.

Its Possible to do both I will com on the first part of the National if I got time say its 11mins long I could do 3min then next com do 4min and you can do last 4min Doug I have no problem with the races being run in metric but the other guys will have to agree with it start a new thread Doug with a poll give it a week and whatever the Majority votes for we go with.

I am not sure if doing it in minutes would work but then again I'm not on your end to embed the video.
Also I am sure Mike would like to be involved plus Marty and Steve.
4 miles into six callers - You guys need to work this out - even if a couple of us do two shifts or break it into metric as it's 7+km's.

With the Aussie races it just needs to be the video in metric, Tom can stay the same as I know that would confuse just about everyone else in the game.
I actually insist that they should be run in metric! No Aussie horse race has been run in furlongs since the late 1960s and I can't see why they should be now.
People on here worried because a race was a furlong short and want re-runs because "that is not the correct distance" and get it and all I want as an Australian is that the Australian races are run in the correct distance but in metric as they are run in Australia. If we are going to be hung up on everything being correct then running the Aussie races in metric is not a problem and appeals to the realism that everyone wants.

Maybe do it by fence, someone does from the start to half way between Valentines and the chair then the 3rd person takes it up at the canal turn on the 2nd circuit etc.

30 fences, 1st comm do to 10, 2nd to 20 etc and split it further if more comms.

It Maybe easier say I do the first Com Until Fence 12 there's a good run to the next fence 2nd Com can then take over Until Canal turn then Doug can bring King Of hearts Home

Good work Nick! This looks like a great solution and I suspect it is how they do it during the actual race :-)

Very cool idea! I'll call a part!

My suggestion on how to do it would be to have the first caller do his part, then write down the time that he stopped on the video, then the next caller takes over, starting from that time, and so on and so forth. Probably separate by fence like you guys are thinking is good. It is similar to how companies write dubbing scripts.

Cool idea Mike.
I wasn't actually sure how to do this but writing down the time each caller stops and dividing the fences by each caller sounds like the way to go :-)

It would be my pleasure to call King of Hearts first over the line, Gray :-)

Please don't forget to mention during the commentary that I have had a bet at 1000/1 with honest Paul Rhodes bookies on my horse Delorain, especially when it wins :) :) .
I believe Steve (Teleprompter) and John (Ghost) also availed themselves of the price.
