Did a full reinstall last night will give the race kit one more go this evening and let you know if I can fill the last spot or lessen the load/act as a reserve.

I wasn't sure about my pc being upto the job either, but when I took realistic weather off, set shadows to low and anti-aliasing to 2, the fps rate rose by about 10 points.

I think that if you can achieve an average of 52fps during a race it will be good enough.

I am finding that when capturing races the fps rises to about 58, but has the occasional dip to 48 and averages out about 54. I am hoping that this will be good enough to produce decent quality videos on youtube.

Depending on the video capture software you use, I find the software to have about a 5-8fps overhead. Another factor in the fps rate you achieve is the weather during a race. On sunny days I get a higher average fps than on rainny days when the graphics card has to work harder.

Something else I tried was not running the racekit in full screen mode but in a 1024x600 window and setting the output size to 1280x720, (the normal size of my full-screen). I don't know why, but I found this made a small improvement in the fps rate.

There would be no harm in trying to run a couple of races in the first few weeks to see how you get on. If it does not work out, at least you gave it a try and that counts for a lot.

PC is more than up to snuff runs the game on highest graphics without any issues.

Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake CPU, 4 Cores, 4.0 - 4.2GHz
Overclocking: Overclock CPU by up to 20%
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Graphics
Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING Motherboard
Memory: 16GB DDR4 2133MHz Memory (2 x 8GB Sticks)
Solid State Drive: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO Solid State Drive
Secondary Hard Drive: Seagate 2TB SSHD Hybrid Drive
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

My issue which at first attempt last night seems to remain, is with my anti virus software, which does not let me even unpack the racekit to run even when auto protect is disabled, have one more thing to try today, after which I'll throw in the towel.

Hi

Sorry if I being a bit thick, but is it the zipped racekit file that won't unzip? There is only one exe file in the zipped file and I have put an extracted version of the file in dropbox next to the zipped version. Maybe you coud try copying the extracted file from your desktop dropbox to the starters orders folder and see what happens.

My memory is a bit hazy, but I think I just put the extracted file in my SO6 folder in c:\program files (x86)\so6 and it worked without any installation.

Again, I am sorry if I am over-simplyfying things.

Tried that already I get the jockey rush icon on the app, running it throws the error but in such a way (not windowed) that I cannot remove it and have to hard crash my machine.

I have everything backed up so I am going to totally purge the data from my system and reinstall from scratch the uninstall method i tried yesterday leaves my data and perhaps whatever is causes what is defined as a direct X script failure.

Good luck Josh - your PC seems a beasty so it would be good to get your vids :-)

What anti virus software are you running? I use Avast Free and I have no issues with it - although in saying that I am sure the game got uploaded before I started using Avast Free but I would have uploaded while using AVG Free.
