I can't be that you play 8 seasons in game and win 30 online races. When I get smashed in Group races I concentrate on Handicaps. I don't understand this instant success must have, maybe SO online league is the wrong place for you.
Maybe a high prize money handicap final and some more lower Hcp races but don't gift everything. You can get Group horses for the OL with normal playing, not 50 but be happy when you have those stable pearls and try to get better.

Not sure if that was for me or not, but if it was, what in that statement makes you conclude this is the wrong place for me?

Wasn't directed at you.
I think it isn't needed that a new player directly wins many races. There are so many games out there where get instantant gratification, but I think SO player are more special, when you want to reach something you have to do more than 3 clicks.
When someone can't stand losing at the beginning and only plays games where he has instant success, THEN, MAYBE, this game is the wrong place. Just speaking about my own motivation, I can live with losing but it's the thrill when there comes the race when your horse is 1st to 3rd. You have to do something for a little bit of success and even more to be constantly on top.

Good week for me picking up a winner in the Hunt and the flat...

Bay Mandalay shock winner of a moores million qualifier, but more to the fact that the top boys couldn't stay upright.

The flat a nice win for "Simply Emman" old horse goes back to breeding from season 1, so pleased.

My aim was to pick up 10 winners over the season, 4 shy now, so fingers crossed 2 next week and a couple in the final week will do nicely as plenty of nice low grade handicaps to aim at.

Lets see if the "Name is Frank" can take on the the might mack at Punchestown, hoping for a reversal & you never know a G1 win  (Paul if you dont fancy running the MACK no one would think any less of you    )

**** NEWS UPDATE ****

Rumours are circulating that Mack the Knife may skip the upcoming meeting at punchestown with My Name is Frank having been declared. The top class chaser is said to be low in confidence following his recent defeat. Connections have thus only offered nervous laughter in response. :)

What a great week for the stable. 7 wiiners this week, 1 on the flat and 6 over jumps.

Flat

Allstar Hero won race 17 the Betfred MD qualifying race with a late surge in the last 50 yards.

2 x 3rds, 1 x 4th and 1 x 5th for my other flat horses

Jumps

After doing so well in the soft ground at Cheltenham last week, I thought the good going at Aintree would not suit my horses, but the stable had 6 winners over the sticks.

Tinstall Girl just got up to win the G1 Melling Chase

Strathmore Maid was a surprise winner in the G1 Maghull Novices Chase. She had little previous form and there was 7 horses rated well above her in the handicaping.

Parkland Girl won the G1 Aintree Hurdle. Thats her 4th win of the season, but all her previous wins were in lower level races.

Juniper Maid continued to show her recent good form in a 3 horse race, the G2 National Hunt Flat race.

Quiet Man won the Betfair Handicap Hurdle for his 3rd win of the season.

Particle Beam won the Daffodil Vase Handicap Chase.

Well done to all the winners and placers
Great comms as usual guys.

I spent all last week in the garden shed with my home chemistry set and mixed up a couple of new concoctions. ( Totally undetectable by the stewards )

The first was pheno-speedplus sulphate. Been slipping it into the horses feed and it nearly worked. Will up the required dosage for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The second concoction was nitro-slowdown bromate. I took a trip to Wales, Ireland and Canada this week with this concoction, but I must have got the two mixed up as John managed 4 winners, well done John.

If anybody wants some of these concoctions, send a stamped address envolope plus a 50p cheque, ( helps pay for new chemistry set ), to Horse Doctor, Dundonald Stud, Scotland.

I posted this comment a few weeks ago. Honest guys, I was only joking about the chemistry set. Please don't demand dope tests on my horses.

I think this trainer should be band for a few years like Howard Johnson, my horses are colder than Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Good week for me with 4 Winners

Nebraskan Lear Spear - Delighted she got off the mark, 1m1 perfect for her an this group3 win makes up for just failing in the Prince of Wales. If she gets a clear run, and a decent draw in the Breeders Cup Distaff, I don't think she'll be a million miles away

Iowan Stockwell At home this is as good as Iowan Bothwell, who picked up a group1 last week, so I've been bitterly disappointed by her showings, however, finally picked up her race an prob likely to still feature in a couple og H'capps last 2 weeks

Iowan Pilgrimage Finally picked up her big H'capp, this delighted me as much as my gp1 win as she was wrongly disqualified after winning in the Brittania at Royal Ascot, likely to struggle in the gp1s from now on though

Iowan Magic Of Life won very well for it's second race of the season, It has struggled when stepped up, but next weeks Breeders Cup Juvenile at 8.5 furlongs is its plum trip, so never know, might sneak a place.

Iowa Averof probably also deserves a mention for an exceptional 2nd in the Middle Park Group 1. Stepped out of some good performances in H'capps but wasn't expecting that

well lads forgot my password for this a few weeks ago and just remembered it , im a disaster   cheers to all the lads that congratulated me on my gold cup and group 1 wins, i was very very surprised with the gold cup win obviously because my NH team are basically a bag of dirt  I'd like to say well done to j shea on winning the national ,class, well done..last week was a great week for me and so happy about it but this week was a pure drag, i was very disappointed with r13 the Racing Post Trophy, i was so excited to see this race with all the top class two y/o's going head to head, i upped found thriller in trip which definitely suits him best, hes been my favourite horse and so consistently good, then he goes and pulls up injured, this game breaks my heart sometimes :( anyways to end this note on a high , i am delighted to have won the horse of the week twice now, it really is a great idea paul, it gives that feel of a winner of winners horse , we are all here to have fun and win so the more honors like this, the better. ,maybe we should have a end of the season awards .. categories e.g best overall ,best newcomer, best horse and biggest forum whinger even???
