 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
1 winner on the flat for me an a 2nd
Hanun Colony - 2 successive handicap wins now, fancy it has done all it's winning now, and will be below the group level needed going forward.
Hanun Volta - Ran a very good race in second despite running 6-7 wide the whole race, hopefully not handicapped out of the season now

Just written out my whole summary to be logged out, forced to log in again and then lose all my text...................there are times I dislike this website........
Anyway not doing that again so Flat was pants. Jump was awesome with 4 wins, though I front loaded this week and ducked Leon. It will get worse as it goes on.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Chances are it is a entry done before revised handicaps and not corrected by the trainer. Race runner would/should catch it.
As for your horses we have all been there and I know how frustrating it can be to keep coming nowhere. Just keep breeding trialling and filtering down your breeding stock, and breed with a wide range of game stations and buy what you can at auction. Your not likely to see your horses suddenly improve but you have a few weeks before the upload window to find something better. League is always tough for the new players but we have all been there.

will keep trying but its getting to be beyond a joke. Hey pal, I’m been playing since day 1 in this league when it started, have restarted, quit, gave up many a time from the game and the league. A huge thing is ck ! It sounds common sense but trust me (I’ve done it) make sure you are trialing sprinters against sprinters, 1 mile horses against 1 mile horses, the times I’ve thought I’ve had a beast and then realised I had a 6f pace horse in a mile race which made my trials complete rubbish. I’m convinced at the moment my 1 mile trails are good but not sure my derby (1m4f) are, as my mare who wins my trials by a 4lengths at 1m2f has just ran 10th in hcap race never off 68 ! Which as you can imagine I was thrilled over (NOT). It is trial and error mate and don’t give up, it can take 1 good stallion and you can have a 3 length jump in your trails. Use this season as a guide and don’t get too disheartened

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Much better day today, steady stream of winners and places each week so over the moon with that
Regal Rumble - 1st - was expectant of a win here given his rating and he steamed home to nick it. Hope he continues on an upward curve.
Coniferous - 3rd - drawn 23, went 10 wide at the back the whole race and misses out by a whisker. Can get a win if he gets the rub of the green down the line.
Swift Rumble - 4th - Another solid race in group company, seems to be outpaced and stays on at the ends so decision needs to be made on whether he goes Diamond Jubilee or Kings Stand.
Violent Verdict & Starport - 17/18th - Close to giving up with my classic horses. Although I think Violent Verdict especially may still have something up his sleeve.
Alysson Felix & Starqueen - 4th/12th - Great run from Alysson but a mile probably suits her more, has the Sandringham as her main target, Starqueen was outclasses and will need a 0-80/90
Fantara - 18th - Ran much better than the bare result, ran into a brick wall and will have some fair opportunities in handicaps.
Avokovadro - 3rd - Gutted, just caught again, not sure what she was doing out in front... if she gets the same ground in the Commonwealth with a tow into the race I wouldn't swap her for anything. Fast becoming the apple of my eye and the Commonwealth is the one race I want to win this season now.
Post Girl World - 2nd - Ran really well and unlucky not to win a second race. Hopefully there's still more improvement to come.

will keep trying but its getting to be beyond a joke. The league is a strange beast as a lower rated trainer. First off, aim all your horses into the lowest possible races and keep doing that each week. As the season wears on the slightly stronger horses will move up a rung and the lower rated races will be full of similar horses. Now - this is where the mechanics of the game kicks in - in the last half of the season you will have horses carry the right weight over the right distance and be one of the strongest horses in the field.....your horse will have the perfect handicap for the race and it will run a great race, maybe it will win maybe it will place? This scenario does happen but you have to keep entering each week and keep breeding as well....especially now so you can upload some new horses during the week five window. The other thing to do is read what the more successful trainers are doing and have a crack at that. The good thing is SO7 is doing what I and others hoped it would do and that is throw in some randomness in breeding - a good example is trainer Josh Sutherland - this season he's got a couple of flat horses at least who aren't performing well in low rated races - in the last few season of SO6 this would not have happened. So keep breeding and keep entering races and use this season as a learning curve for your breeding. It's the old adage - if you're not in it....you can't win it. Good luck and keep asking questions in the forums.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
You have some great advise there Ryan! Take note. I also wondered if your horses are running over the right distance, it's not going to make a great difference but I did see one of your horses make an early challenge on my horse Snow Storm in one race about 5f out, just made my horse lift the pace then your horse dropped out tamely. I would race that horse over a lesser distance and see how it goes. We have only played 3 weeks so far so plenty time to go for experimenting. Keep playing and trialling and you now know how competitive the league is and the amount of improvement that may be needed. Use that knowledge as you play and trial. You will/can get there, don`t be too discouraged at such an early stage.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
1 winner in each code today
Tajikstan Tajikstan leads home a stable 1,2 in the 2000 Guineas finished with a thunderous turn of foot to take the race by the scruff of the neck and was backed up by Tennessee Prince who lead home the chasing pack. Having a 1 2 in both Guineas is beyond dreaming. I am totally dedicated to the classics and being competitive in them and put alot of work into my Guineas horses and all 4 put in stella performances all I hoped for was a clear run. This was my 5th Victory in the race in 10 seasons. Both horses will go to Ireland next
2000 Guineas - 5 - S3 Twilighted - S6 Lamborghini - S7 Cape Thorne - S9 Vice Lombardi - S10 Tajikstan
Falklands Taskforce Gets off the mark in handicap company just held on in a bunch finish where any of 4 could have won
Huge thanks to the team thanks to the commentators
congratulations to the winners and placers
great to see some of the newcomers or 2nd season trainers doing well

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
A great first 2 days for me with a number of firsts for me in both leagues
Flat
I had a number of bad luck stories on the first day. but that's how it goes sometimes and I am sure I will benefit from someone elses hard luck stories in the future. The 3 winners so far means I am still leading the Flat championsip, which is total unknown territory for me in the Flat league. My chances will only improve as the 3yo only races disappear.
Hood Sickle became my first ever group winner over 5f on the flat. I managed a 1-2 in this race and Wild Sights will probably go to the Commonwealth given Nick the tow he needs for Avokovadro. I also got a 1-2 in the mile group race on the first day wuth Rampage Town winning. I have never been good over the shorter distances on the flat, my horses normally struggling in the lower handicaps, so it's a nice change. Distintegration finished 4th in the Guineas to record my highest ever finish in the Guineas. The large stable size in SO7 as allowed me to dedicate a small portion of my stable to non jumping sprinters with great results so far.
So all in all very pleased with the first 2 days racing on the flat. Ninth Configuration was my other winner with Walden Instrument, bred back in season 13 oir 14 in my game, 4th in the same race
Great to see my hold up horses are running well in the league, where normally front running types dominate.
NH
NH is going very well, I have had 6 winners so far which is an incredible achievement. Tintern Breda, becomes another first for me, as that is my first ever win with a game bred horse. One of those where the AI bred with mine and I was able to buy it at auction. Again please to see my hold up horses running on well from behind. My best performance was by Await your Reply, I was torn between running her in the race she won and the 3 mile G1, in which she may have had a chance but would need a lot of luck. Glad I kept her in the 3m5 race.
It's been a great season for me so far. Will manage 2 more seasons in my game and hopefully add a few that will improve my stables.

will keep trying but its getting to be beyond a joke. One other thing i would add to the advice you've had, is make sure your horses are at top condition before exporting i try to export about 20-25 days after last raced and ideally after a win. But the main thing is to ensure it has full fitness and condition bars before exporting. stick with it wins will come.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Congrats Paul and all other winners this week.
Massive achievement mate to clear up in the first classics of the season with a 1,2 in both races. To be honest I don't think anyone will be close to you in the 3yo mile division.
Thanks team for all the time and effort which has gone into this weeks races and comm's. It's very much appreciated.
