still getting lasts in a 0-70 handicap!, Im either a really bad trainer or ive terrible horses.
will keep trying but its getting to be beyond a joke. Most important things is trials. I trial every season. Sometimes what you think it is good ( multiple group 1 winner in game ) it is useless in trials and vice versa. One of my best horses in the league Blood Harvest, won 1 G1 race in his career in the game. A horse I plan to upload in week 5 never won a race and is rated 46 on the flat in my game but is a monster in trials. Breed more with what trials well and less with what does not and your league horses will improve. Also try get your acceleration bar high, if you horse is not a front runner, as it will enable your horse to quicken even if there is a slow pace.

Also try get your acceleration bar high, if you horse is not a front runner, as it will enable your horse to quicken even if there is a slow pace. This is why I never use pacemakers look at the 1000 Guineas there was no pace in the race nothing wanted to lead my horses are used to this in the CK they seem to learn to adapt. For me the crucial thing is to try and get your own trials as close to league conditions as possible Here is how i Do it on the flat 1) no pacemakers 2) no fewer than 12 runners 3) no more than 16 runners (Sometimes 20) 4) A point scoring system that totally rewards consistency in trials 5) Hope something sticks Once you have the results breed the heck out of anything that shines in the ck you really can waste alot of time on horses that just dont perform in the ck Stick with it Ryan and if you want any help or advice email me happy to help anyone

Just one standout today Foshan Parliment - 3rd in the Guineas, bit gutted, looked the winner inside the final furlong but just didn't get home, Congrats to Paul who overhauled me similarly in the Lincoln too. Great effort with 1,2 in each Guineas leonvr wrote: jockeyryan321 wrote: Week 3 Day 1

Drop me a message any time Ryan an I don't mind a few messages or such on Wahtsapp or anything else to try an get you through a few of the basics and get your lines going. I know back in the day this really helped me when someone more experienced just got me started, once it clicks you'll find all your own ways of doing things, but the start is vital I think. If you start down a wrong path it can be very frustrating. There's guys much better than me to help so I'd definitely listen to Paul an Leon more, but I'm more than happy to answer any questions at all or let you know how I go about things in messages away from the forums anytime. Drop me a message here if you like an we can sort it. Besides that; 1. Ignore game form early on and just trial every single horse you can buy in you construction kit trials2. Buy as many horses as you can from every auction early on to trialNot everyone does, but I'd suggest maybe you need to do the cash injection part for that

Thanks Ryan Hi Ryan, If you ever start a new game like I've just done (Irish Combined) skip 3/5 years ahead in game. Get as much money as possible i mean 10's of millions from gambling ($50+ million) sell the horses you are given straight away and that should give you around $400k+ to use that to pick out results for instance 2x 66/1's and bet a reverse forecast 1st/2nd in any order. If you pay attention you will find those priced horses come in. This will set you up for the auctions to buy as many horses as you see fit. What i tend to do is go to the Horses icon at the top of the screen and there will be a leader board of all the highest rated horses. Click on the top 20/30 horses rated at the top on the leader board, once you click on a horse in the top right corner it has an (EYE with a STAR) click on that and you will follow that horse and if it ever comes up to auction you can buy it and not miss any of the horses you are following thereon after. Some of these can be very good to start a new game with and have a baseline breeding program. I'm 2 full seasons into my game and done this method above and I've already found 2x game breed horses which are only 5L behind my current jumpers in the league. This is a great base line to improve your lines moving forward in a new game. Sure others play it differently but this way i find it starts you off on the right track straight away in a new game. TRAIL EVERY SINGLE SEASON. Here are the 2 horses i mentioned above. who are close to my 50+ season horses in my Jumps game. They've probably not even peaked yet as well.

Wow my jumpers or my lack of jumpers has finally had some luck with Another Schedule going right through the last fence and staying on his feet , hopefully we'll get a wet festival so he'll have a big chance in the gold cup over his best distance.

Going on from helping out players does everyone have different exporting months ? Mine is always the first Monday after 20th august, all my horses would of had 3 runs and the last run would be in July and then fingers crossed they don’t get an injury. I’ve stopped using export with race instructions as just hope the jockey rides it best and l might be missing a trick but my trails
5f,6f,7f,1m and 1m2f all Newmarket good ground 1m4f Epsom good ground 1m6f - 2m Newmarket good 2m 4f ascot good
On the flat do you guys notice ground dependant horses that much ?

On the flat do you guys notice ground dependant horses that much ? I tend to export around the same time, I give horses a break before Arc weekend and export just before their runs in that so late Sept/early Oct. I have also stopped giving instructions after seeing a post on here previously and they tend to run as they should anyway. To save time I just trial everything at Ascot, my method is to split horses into 25 categories for each upload, so 2yo 5f, 6f, 7f, 1m, 1m2f... 3yo all distances up to 2m and 4yo all distances, I only work in even distances from 9f up so example, 1m, 1m1f, 1m2f, 1m4f, 1m6f etc. Each category is ran in trials with 24 max entries split into a few divisions if needed at first then will trial season by season after that so never gets near 24 entries from then on I then run 6 races for each category, 2 on Soft, 2 on Good and 2 on Firm. Winner gets 5pts, RU 3pts, 3rd 2pts and 4th 1pts These then get totalled and whoever gets the most points gets picked for the league. In some cases e.g. Avokovadro came top in 2, 3 and 4yo 6f categories. But he accumulated the most points in the 3yo races so got picked for that. Toll the Bell was 2nd to him in 2yo 6f category so he then got picked for the 2yo 6f category etc. It's a bit fiddly but the quickest route I've found. Don't think the ground makes a huge amount of difference, I've had horses e.g. Avokovadro who is a soft ground horse rack up 30 points in the 3yo 6f category meaning she won every race including on firm.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Awful week for me My star horse Napapijri went awful and hated Auteuil as well as the soft ground and ran 8 lengths below her best. Very annoying when it's my only good horse and i now have to wait another week to see her run. Live and learn will never run at that track again. My 3yr old Highland Valley has gone 95 to 108 after finishing 15/18 in the 2000 guineas which now gives me no options but group races when 2 runs ago it was rated 54 before finishing 2nd in a very poor greenham it's nothing better than a 0-90 horse at best. As always great comms Looking forward to redemption next week

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Shocker of a day bar Hillcho. Well done all winners
Carnelian - 11th - Never going to be good enough at listed level, will need to find a winnable 0-80/90
Hillcho - 2nd - great effort, may need 1m5f, hopeful of getting a win somewhere down the line.
Law Ranger - 5th - Flew home a little late for 5th, found his level and option will be plenty.
Party At The Post - 10th - Draw widest of all and ran wide on the bend, better than that result.
Dutchforward and Seventy Star - 5th & 6th - disgusting ride by both jockeys, left completely out of the race and Dutchforward was full of running at the end. Need to show improvement rapidly.
Caltide - 19th - Not sure what that was all about, went AWOL completely, should get back on track in a less competitive race.
Diamond Law - 16th - awful draw, awful passage wide, more to come from him.
Kaskmark - 6th - Nice return to form and step up suited, will need a 0-100/90

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Great to be back amongst the winners this week.
Gun Runner showed some of his trials form by winning a 1.2m 0-90 handicap, set up by pace maker Dua Lipa, who finished second for a one two.
Driving Henrietta took a dead heat win in a 7f 2yo maiden. Great form to take into the Golden Slipper next week.
Kingscoft Homer then made it 3 wins in a week with a nice 1m 0-80 handicap win.
Shout out to 2yo Tilly Lucy for her 2nd place, she has been consistently in the places without picking up a win yet.

Your horse was only just over 4 lengths of the winner. Another 6 lengths down and you would have got the handicap mark you want . Not a good day for me, mostly fallers and other mishaps, oh well on to next week and hope for better things.
