 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Good weeks for me, 8 wins on the NH, though that pesky LVR had 9...... and two on the flat including a G1 handicap win from a horse I had already written off, gelded and sold. He now tops my trials sheets and seems miles better than the one I kept who consistently beat him in the last trial. Funny old world.
Lots of good advice Ryan, few other things for the mix.
The distance indicators least for me and on the flat are all over the place. My best 2m horse who stays 2.4m and won that aforementioned G1 h’cap is game ranged at 1.1m. My best 1.2m lines range at 6f according to the game and ck. Test them over a range of distances in game and also at trial, seems you can have variances of 6-8f in this version of the game.
Export condition is important , there is some consistent behaviour in this and some random bits too. There are three bars in play over fitness and condition. The first two are antagonistic, the red is essentially your horses energy reserve or stamina it increases when they are in blue training or resting as I call it, and the green fitness bar decreases. When you switch to red training the reverse is true the energy bar drops and fitness bar increases. There is a perfect point between these three measurables to export you want the green fit full red fit as high as possible and you want to time this with the condition bar being full two. The last part is random but the first easy to see as once they get fully fit it cycles every 7 game days, on the 6th it drops on the 7th after is increases again. There are other factors for the perfect time namely when in the season but you want your exports in top condition as you only get it once.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
My stayers turn today to run well;
Hanghu Leary - Looks a very good horse, ran 6-7 wide for the full race in the GP1 H'cap for 2 miles off top weight an finished closing in on the winners. Likely to be my Gold Cup horse now, although not convinced he will fully stay
Foshan Drift - put the 2m3 race to bed very well about 2 out, more like what it shows at home, although obviously a bit short of the top horses. Not sure whats in the schedule, but think she may have a chance in a few of the big 2m2 Handicaps.
Both of these are quite early bred in my stayers game too and I haven't had a chance to use them together yet, good signs. I can't wait to get a few fresh horses in in week 5 though

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
I had a great week and am now in the weird position of leading both the Flat and Jumps. I had a lot of seconds, but none of them looked like winning so happy with all those seconds. Special mention to Dragon Keeper who came 2nd after been drawn 20 and craying top weight. I have had a policy this season of shunning small build horses. They don't jump well enough for me and can't carry weight. The policy is paying off.
Recruiting Agent won a race I though Gi Joe would win, but he fell. Hopefully that's his fall done for the season.
Well done to Dave, that's a massive improvement from last season. Will you be adding more jumps horses? And Paul, do you have thing else like Napapijri that you may upload. ALways good to see more trainers in NH. There is always a chance in NH, as the best horse could always fall.
NH is going to be close. Won't be much improvements in my stable except for 3 mile hurdlers
Well done Paul on the Guineas 1-2. I might get close at the Currah as the ground suits better for Vinyl Cafe
Thanks to all race runners, handicappers and comms. And especially Gray who makes it all happen
Josh how do you get the condition red bar to full. I have never seen it above 90%, even when horse is raring to go

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Think i had 4/5 winners this week one on the flat and 4 winners in the NH.
Stopped Chuzzlewit - My stand out performer this week winning the G1 juvenile race in France. Should be the early favorite for the Triumph Hurdle at the festival later in the season.
Few other good efforts from Estertide Jubilate off top weight winning well. Wasn't expecting that at all with 12 stone on her back.
Another great run from my 3mH Yeomanry Implication, that's 2/2 now and will be stepped up in class again in the coming weeks. I've another 3mH who i will be bringing in week 5 upload who blows this horse away and trails very consistent around Cheltenham. Both will head for the Stayers Hurdle.
Congrats to all winners and placed effects this week. Some awesome races now taking shape in both codes and it's great to be apart of it.
Like always thank to the team behind the scenes who make this happen week in week out.

I give hope to Ryan or whoever else is struggling, Thanks. I was new last time and didn't do many trials. I mostly went off game form, which I now know does not always match construction kit form. Also I understand there was a bit of performance enhancing going on with the last game, ttf files etc, which I wasn't aware of. This season seems a lot fairer and more of a level playing field. Nonetheless I enjoyed entering horses into races even if I wasn't expecting any results.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Mediocre start to the week for me, Swift Rumble showing some promise as a star sprinter however.
Carnelian - 14th, maybe didn't stay? Giving up with my Stayers.
Chocolate Pioneer - 11th, was never going to enjoy it on that ground and ended up far too wide.
Law Ranger - 7th, half decent run, likely more to come from him.
James E Cornette - 3rd, expected a good run and got just that. Not sure he knows how to win however!
Party At The Post - 6th, ran a good race in unfavourable ground, with have a chance when it is rattling quick.
Violent Verdict - 7th, ran OK, needs dropping further in the handicap.
Hillcho - 11th, needs further and has the tools to run a good race when she gets the opportunity.
Seventy Star - 3rd, getting sick of the jockeys leaving my Stayers too far away when the pace starts to up, I mean both were staying on at the end over 2m5f which is ridiculous. Showed something however and there may be a race for either Seventy or Dutchforward if the pace is brutal.
Dutchforward - 5th, as above, he's much better than Seventy at home so not sure what's going on.
Swift Rumble - 5th, ran a great race, he does belong in the upper echelon over the sprints which I'm happy about. Will likely go Kings Stand.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Good Day for me
Flat
R1 Melancholy Cove 1st Had some bad luck on all 3 previous starts. Not this time though got a dream ride and won well on the more testing ground. Still stable second string to Dragon Keeper though R2 Geralt of Rivia 6th And that was a surprise. Goes to Epsom with no chance R3 Bloodstone 9th Also goes to Epsom with no chance R4 Where Eagles dare 1st Powered clear. Got a really low mark becuase of the really shocking run on her first start, where she hated the dirt. She was much better than that low mark. Will step up to group races next R11 Waterfall 4th Looks a length or 2 off the best and might need 7f but Ascot may suit R12 Endless Nights 1st Dancing Goddess 2nd Both carried G1 penalties. Dancing Goddess prefers 9f and as expected she tired late. There are races for her. Endless Nights is a monster and she will be a force in G1 but will always need some luck coming from last. Although it doesn't look like it at present Mystic Lake is still the stable no 1 over 10f
NH
R1 Shogun 0 Ran as expected. Didn't trial well at Ascot and run proved the trials correct R3 Footprints Fell Fell early wasn't fancied in any case R4 Volcanic Eruption 1st & Go To Town 2nd Volcanic Eruption is 3 from 3 when completing and living up to expectations. Go To Town ran well enough in second and proved home form correct R7 Bomber Inthepocket 2nd Ran better than expected and thought he held on to win but wasn't to be. Well done to Gray who continues with his great start to the league R8 Chess Made a mistake at a vital stage and then got outpaced by the 2 that beat him. Better in much bigger fields with a lot of pace. R9 Beowulf 6th One destained to make way for something better, wasn't expecting anything here and ran as expected R10 Understory Rebel 3rd Distance was always going to be a stretch and so it proved. Well done to Hemz. Will keep him at 16 or 17f from now on. R11 Unendliche Geschichte 1st Just did enough as expected. Started pulling out more towards the end. She is very hard to pass and will be a huge contender in the big 2 mile races going forward R12 Saragossa Manuscript Fell & Treasury Matters 4th Too far for the one too short for the other. Saragossa Manuscript fell when mounting a challenge. Bit worrying as that's his second fall. Normally a good jumper. Treasury Matters started to challege but then that petered out as distance and ground told. The Josh monster winner was always going to be too good here
Thanks to everyone involved

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Week 4 Day 1 Not a bad day at the office this week. Specially on the flat (Shock) FlatR1- Allencat Craic 3rd - Ran a decent staying on 3rd place finish. Needs 2m4 atleast, will have a crack at the Gold Cup at the royal meeting. R3 - Rosiemary 1st & Task Analysis 1st - I get the bonus of 2 winners in the same race (Mother and Daughter) I'll take that all day long. If the ground comes up testing at Epsom these 2 will be right in the mix, Specially Rosiemary. One of my all time favourite flat horses in game and named after my dear mother bless her. R11- Aymard Crezene 1st - Week 1 was slightly unlucky in running, week 2 maybe the trip was to short and a terrible draw, week 3 much better performance and showed what he's been doing at home. Potential G1 horse if thing's fall right for him. Very pleased with that effort. NHR1 - Woodcote Amoray 6th - Big weight to carry this week and ran well consideing. I've much better 2mC now in my stable which blow this horses away. R3 - Mevlana Soar 5th - Would be better off around Blackpool beach as a donkey ride. R7 - Seraphina Cerise 9th - Make that 2 donkey rides on Blackpool beach. Nothing more to say. R8 - Aztec Humour 2nd - Congrats to Darren it was a very tight finish. I feel this was again a DEAD HEAT. I hope the stewards can look into this. Mark can you put a video replay when results are this close in a finish. Maybe have a line across the track on the finishing line with a camara close up? Just a thought. R10 - Megans Xiara 1st - Been in the mix from the start of the season. Nice to see her get a win in the bag. Not sure where to go next. Forgot to put her in as a Novice. Gray can i change her PLEASE. R11 - Jewelled Donna 4th & Subya Near 5th - Nice win Leon. Very tough front runner you have their. JD's jockey was shocking today, having a front runner settled at the back at the start of the race, to then get boxed in trying to move closer up the field. An absolute plant pot of a ride. Instantly fired. Subya Near ran a below par race also today. Not sure what happened. Could have been the track and heavy ground. This mare like good to faster going. R12 - Gwen Tomyra & Answer Layne - Nice win Josh. Early Champion Chase Fav. Both came into the race looking very good, albeit a very slow jump at the last fence. Doesn't help them been at the wrong age (My Mistake) I have better 2mC to upload, but will be only the 1 horse. Thanks again to the folk behind the scenes who make this happen for our enjoyment. Roll on Day 2. Gray can i upload a new full squad of Jumpers instead of 5?

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
The result for flat race 7 doesn't seem to be updated on the site. I have a horse everdon brook that is not due to run until today and is showing to have already run 5th. My horse manderin spirit who did run in race 7 and finished 5th has no form for the race so i think there has been a slight mix up. Thanks

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Nice enough start to the week with a rare flat winner and two over the sticks. Plus my mandatory bunch of sodding seconds.
Floats Like a Sommerly won nicely after teasing his opponents and letting them get back into the race. Ryanair is his destination since ‘Word to The Wise’ destroys him over 2m at trial. And he has now bred a load of really good looking horses for the next go around.
Rumbas last Dance - Finally breaks her duck in a handicap.
Tough week ahead for my team on the NH not a lot of graded races.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Mixed feelings about my start to the week
Kaiping Scrapp 2nd - Ran very well off a big weight, might try stepping this up to 2mile now even though it's a definite 1m6 in my trials. Can't wait to get her bred with Hanghu Leary when I get back to my stayers game, as he looks a very decent league horse
Foshan Drift 5th - Ran well in the Chester Cup, probably ran too wide for the first half of the race an was staying on. There's a chance if her rating gets too high she'll have to go in the AGC
Kaiping Slick 5th - 5th in the Chester vase, and a very promising run, I have a suspicion if I had only ran one of mine, it may have won
Hanun Genes 3rd - Same as above, I fancy I should have only ran 1 of these an it would have won, both killed each other in front, done well to stay on again at the end, only 1 will be going the Derby for sure
