 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Shocking day on the flat for me, another game bred horse wins over the sticks though somehow; Tukush tash - People in the tipping comp knew somethong about this one I didn't, but ran well, an looks a very good and speedy jumper of obstacles, so wont be a bad start to my breeding programme on the NH side Feel like I only have a few that are actually competetive in the top races, can't wait till the uploads as my sprinters an milers have moved on so much, I'm with Paul, can we have a full squad of subs for week 5 please

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
James E Cornette 5th & Alysson Felix 9th - Both ran a great race and will be primed for their Royal Ascot assignments.
Carnelian 18th - Shocker again, going to need to drop at least 20lb in the handicap before going close.
Toll The Bell 4th & Fantara 19th - Toll The Bell ran back to form which was pleasing ahead of his tilt at the Coventry Stakes, Fantara needs to go back handicapping.
Post Girl World 14th and Creme Carnation 17th - Both out of depth and one if not both are heading to the Royal Hunt Cup.
Swift Rumble 1st - Over the moon with this one, never had a sprinter better than listed level so to have a Group 2 winner is excellent! Goes to the King's Stand with a real chance!
Swift As Air 9th - Stayed on well but form is tailing off, hope to see a return to form at Ascot.
Well done Gray on Sinn Script's win, Paul on the Derby win and especially Josh for Belladonna's win, she certainly deserved that!

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
3 big performers for me today
Kaiping Scrapp - Possibly the most impressive despite bing 5th. Ran the whole 1st circut about 10 wide, great performance to get so close off top weight.
Foshan Town - Very nice winner, was one I was about to retire too as he hadn't performed the same as the trials
Kaiping Slick - 2nd in the Dery, bold front runner, may pick up a decent race if I stop putting Hanun Genes in the same race so they don't cut each others throats

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Great day for me with my best flat horse Belladona vindicating my selection of her as a 3yo and winning the Oaks, her target race for the season and didn’t she do it well.
3 more wins on the NH, making up for the fact my banker of the day fell. ‘Rumbas Last Dance’ was especially good and I was not sure she would stay.
Need to finish off my training to see if I can find something to have a proper go at G I Joe who looks unstoppable from 3m+

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Thanks Nick nice to get a true Group 1 like the Coronation Cup you be surprised to know Sinn cript was a flat reject at 3 sent jumping to win group races over 3miles and didn't have a great amount of exported horses Has I only done 25 Seasons in my Combined Game just shows you send them jumping until 7 or 8 then trial them even on the flat you don't know what you got.
w Flat and 1 Jump winners having a very good season a lot better than what I expected.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Don’t think I could cope if I discovered my jumps game produced good flat horses, that said I have just trialled my 4yo NH and found an Australian flat sprinter who beats everything at my disposal.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Regal Rumble 7th - Good weight carrying performance, will go to the Hunt Cup with a solid chance.
Avokovadro 1st - Ecstatic with this one, happier with this than the temple win. She's back to her best and did it on ground that doesn't suit at all. She has that kick at the furlong pole that I haven't seen from anything else and it's great to watch, if she wins the Commonwealth it'll make my season.
Starqueen 11th - Very odd ride as she completed bottomed out, not sure where she goes from here.
Caltide 8th - Ran ok, nothing more, will be looking for more improvement.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Mixed week so far with some good placed efforts in G1 company on the flat.
My 3yo crop are not that far behind Paul's monsters. Will do some more seasons on my flat game and improve my horses to get closer. Great to have horses to aim at in the CK.
2x winners over the jumps. Ready for the uploads and to test out my new recruits.
Congrats to all winners and place makers.
Thanks to the team behind the scenes for making all this happen.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Great week for me. I now have more wins on the flat than any of the previous 9 seasons. And its only week 5. FlatEndless Nights picked up a another G1 and is shaping up to my best ever flat horse. For a horse that comes from last she has been mighty impressive. Dancing Goddess was very game in second. Waterfall won a 7f race and if it is soft at Ascot she will have huge chance in the Diamond Jubilee. Red Harvest had the big field he needs and came from last to win going away Moral Disorder ran a game race in 2nd, probably finding the firm ground too much. Blood Harvest got going to late to reel in Gray's horse in the Coronation and Naked Sun had her soft ground whihc helped her finsih 2nd. Disintegration finished well for 3rd. Please can we have some soft ground to make the mile more of a test as he might win a group 1 then NHGI Joe looks potent at 3m+ if he stays upright and won well over a distance short of his best for a G1 win in the Lancashire Chase Red Iron Nights made it 4 from 5 winning a bumper but will probably mainly be hurdling for rest of season Lateral Thinking managed a dead heat in mares race filled with male horses Go to Town managed to beat Volcanic Eruption who made some terrible blunders My best win was the last where Understory Rebel led Unendliche Geschichte home. If they go that fast in the Champion Hurdle he is going to have a huge chance Thanks to evryone who makes the league happen

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Good week for me, one flat winner but it was the G1 I targeted. Have a couple of decent looking sorts to try out in the window. Bundle of NH wins and my first G1 for the season. Also finally got some breathing room in the NH wins table though I am a long way behind Leon on money, not sure I see that changing with his chase dominance over 3m. Started my NH trials in anger today and as expected have uncovered some gems but not where I need the help. Two new monster 2m chasers, one of whom beats ‘Words To The Wise’ regularly at trial and four new 3m hurdlers, who have relegated 2 time league winner ‘Tigris of Gaul’ off the trial sheets altogether and knocking ‘Full Court Press’ and Return of the Royal’ who also both have 2 wins to 6th and 7th respectively. Still according to the CK ‘The White Witch’ is still my no1 and she cannot win a donkey derby right now. But there is no help coming at 4m or 3m chase, i have one front runner over 3m who might be an interesting league option, and I am nearly done with my 2m hurdlers who also show no real improvement. Sure I also have 2.4m chasers coming out of my ears, will find out for sure tomorrow. Cannot really grumble
