He sired both the 2m chasers and I think also the 3m front runner I mention above. Not even gotten to his breeding distance yet.

I used to run some trials at Chepstow but found the course hides your dodgy jumpers. Send them over Sandown just to check if they will stay upright more

Gray rose bay jumped like a drunk her first 3 races but her jumping has won her the last two so it is what it is. I do use sandown every now and again , I didn't like it in so6 but its better in this game. I love my Chepstow so i'll just keep with it .

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
The few small builds I had have so far all not made the grade at trial. But one of the two 2m chasers is a Firm ground horse, trailed on soft. I will still look to breed it out of him though.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
He also bred a 2.4m chaser who beats him by about 6L’s just got to decide if I even need that horse this go around. Whole of my 2.4m hurdlers could be improved too ‘Lana Del Rey’ and ‘Archangel’ the only two to just about hold there places on the trial sheets. 2m hurdle and 3m chase the main areas that remain about the same.

I think its not just about breeding but when u put a new horse in because at sometime they will stop improving and that's why I put my new flat stayer Solo Mio in at 4 so if he's good enough he can come back for next season. I ran out of time over jumps to get many new ones in but I think I got a nice bunch of 3m+ chasers coming through.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
These were my 8yo trials, I had planned to bring all my mid season NH horses in at 7yo so I can get them back next year when I think they are at their best, I am also going to check them at 9yo tomorrow. This said I still think I, like everyone else am a long way away from hitting the ceiling, so I may not need too. I now have a lot of league winners who not longer would make the team.

Highlight of the week was seeing Dua Lipa take out Vogart. Hope he is ok and fit to race next week! Other than that, Mickwell Beck picking up a nice handicap win in the The Commentators Gold Cup. Tirol Fabulous ran the race of her life and almost pulled off a shock in the Oaks, she led but faded badly in the last half furlong to finish 4th. A couple of decent 2nd places for Gun Runner and Talbiya Saved too.

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Over a third of the way through the season and thought id do an Update report.
Flat Team Fantastic start to the season my 3 year olds are flying and my team is locked in a 2 way battle with Leon for the titles. I make Leon the odds on favorite to win. I live for the classics and my breeding operation is built around them have to say I'm totally delighted with how the classic horses have performed. I have 5 newcomers all of which are old horses (not new breds) who do well on most tracks I think the new recruits will give my team a bit of a boost but to be honest I have gone way way past my expectations for the season anything now is just a bonus the icing on the cake I'm just glad to be competitive and its great fun.
Jumps Team Apart from the 2 milers who are competitive virtually the whole of the rest of the team are going to struggle to win a very low grade handicap or a hunters chase they are a million miles behind Leon & Josh's monsters I am watching them in awe and loving the battle between 4 or 5 trainers for the championship Gray & Hemz going strong too. I have high hopes for my subs but cant expect too much Im so far behind and thats only right as I have spent a fraction of my time on the national hunt front. Im enjoying trying to plot a few but most of mine are not even good enough carrying bottom weight but hope to have stronger teams in future hopefully the subs will give me a few highlights before the season is out maybe sneak a Grade 1.
Lastly best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season looking forward to seeing everyone's subs

 Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews
Mixed results for me on day 1 of ascot. Managed a g1 5th in the prince of wales with across flashman sadly i forgot to change my game name from player 1 but was a very unexpected run. 6th in the Jersey with Highland Valley was a good run he will win a handicap soon. Few new horses ran poor i think it's because i left stupid jockey instructions from game to challenge early which i don't think helps in the league against top horses. Napapijri ran last in the fighting 5th need to stop running her over unsuitable trips and goings she has g1 form when things go right but can't seem to find firm ground wont run her again until i find the correct race. Enjoyed the preview show great stuff GL to all runners over the next few days.
