Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
My first group1 winner with this jumps team I think it might be my first ever King George winner I think she improved because the race was faster than the races shes been getting, It really helped that she had a pacemaker in the race. It was run a bit like my trials. Queen will need good ground if she's to go for the gold cup, if not then Aintree.

Quiet day on both codes for me. Nothing really expected all this week from me.
San Pedro dreams ran a cracker in a race that didn't suit, an he ran very wide in.
Monterey Kool back to winning ways after running a shocker last week, albeity with a shocking ride. looks like he is an out an out 12f horse now despite winning over 10f an me worrying he was fading in my trials. Carrying a penalty an staying on very well at Newmarket proves it. He'll be a big player for the rest of the season

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
would have been a really frustrating day with three group races 2nds and 3rd placings but Vivre La France came to the rescue and wont he christmas hurdle by a head .Cheltenham is his trial home so really thinking he will improve more for then running at flat tracks like kempton but also think Vinnys horse will be better for the stamina test so promises to be a hell of a race and thats before you add in the other runners . On the flat Tigerfish remains a maiden despite being placed in umpteen group or pattern 2yo races .....hes this seasons needle gun unless theres another out there ive missed . great work and huge thanks to all the people running the show its much appreciated

It was a big run from Gem Thief, could she go better than the 5th in last years champion hurdle. Just looking at my jumps team tonight and i noticed Queen of the Night has 25% battling qualities , i wonder if thats what won her the King George, Joshs horse came on the attack and she battled on. We'll never know but i would love it if it was.

Very bad mistake which I attributed to the fade at the end, as well as the penalty - Vivre La France will be very tough to beat though 2-2 with that an SP Dreams now

It will all depend on ground, probably get firm and you can throw the form book away.

If its good or faster then Stalkey will front run for Queen and if its soft then Unioniste will front run for Night and if it turns out good to soft then all 6 horses will go in a trail to see who comes out best like I did for the King George , first time I've ever done that. I hope for the Queen Mother we get good to soft so I can run Cuthill and Bucky.

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
A couple of winners so far for me over the jumps this week, both very commanding victories.
Sizzling Tale was originally targeted for the Gold Cup, but he's a better handicap horse so might have to look at something like the Ultima Handicap Chase.
Argyle Star was bred for the National and I was a little surprised when Martin said that the age limit was 7+ as in game it's 6+ so hopefully I can get an exemption for her.

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Another disappointing day for me with just Yuma genes winning on the flat. Turns out he's definitely a 7f specialist despite finishing 2nd in both Guineas last season.
I've stopped watching races now with my horses in if they are drawn wider than about 7. If they are drawn double figures I definitely don't watch. I think this could be my final season now as watching the races was the main joy. Falling out of love with watching 12 even pace horses all do the exact same thing an making no effort to get to the rail. It's a huge flaw in the game

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Wow lottery won again, I think he might be the best jumper I've bred, not only that this team doesn't fall at 25% like all my other teams From the ups of Lottery to the awful performance of Earth Leader, I thought she was going to be my 4m4 grade 1horse for the festival but that's gone and now will probably aim for the national. My 4m4 horses look slow and clearly don't stay. I think this might be one of the most enjoyable teams/ league seasons for me. Well proud of my horses.

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Group 1 wins on both codes stealing a dead heat in the G1 handicap with Elmfield Boars receiving 20lbs from his fellow winner and Stilleto Heel coming back to the form of the first 2 weeks and despite jumping errors winning handily so onwards to the triumph hurdle with her. Easily my strongest team ever in the league and on course to finish in top 10 trainers list in both codes which was the aim.
Huge thanks to all the run the league and well done all the winners

What a week for my boys , King George and Welsh National Scally Owen win in the welsh national was well deserved , she has won the last 6 trials over 3m4 on good ground. Never had a horse hang around that long in any game. Was useless in the breeding barn and is well long gone, great on track but useless of it.

Treble on day 2 and highlight being Grand Altomis bringing up a 5 timer in the grade 2 novice chase .Hes mixed hurdles and fences brilliantly and easily my winning most entry for number of wins ever.

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Pretty reasonable week for me, finally back in the winners enclosure after a few blank weeks, few disappointing results smattered among them though. Maundy Thursday is very consistent and grabbed another place. Mastermind finally notched a win, this thing still wins most trials over 5f by a fair few lengths, will likely be back as a 4-y-o even better. Rose Alley was given far too much to do but will take a 2nd. Expected a win from Death Star or Octavian, but solid runs from both again in 2nd & 4th. Lucky Moon finally ran well but needed a bit further and wasn't able to get to the winner. Zoro grabbed a 2nd win, odd one him, was an in-game monster 14 G1's, trialled mediocrely but just scraped through and turns out to be my best horse in the league
