Post Follow up from previous SO8 Kit feedback.
In follow up to the kit video and feedback posted a while ago here are some screenshots which will hopefully illustrate most of the suggestions are now implemented.

I had been a bit side tracked with SOT and getting a new Greyhound game done for mobile (unreleased) but hopefully can now get back to SO8. The schedule editor is the next job. Hopefully the new GUI will make the whole schedule editing process much more user friendly.

The player exports horses to the HDB file via an in-game menu. All game horses can be filtered and there is a select all option to enable exporting in one click.

Jockey orders can be set from this an other kit screens. There is a ratings set option with a duplicate to all option.

The preferred distances can be overridden along with a range parameter. So for example a pref. distance of 8f with a range of +-2f would mean when filtering by distance at a later point our horse will be visible for between 6f and 10f.

There is a button to directly access the HDB file location for ease of backing up.

The small round blue buttons (tick) allow us to select all or none from the current filtered list for operations.

Accessing the kit from outside the game lists the HDB horses on the left and any saved HRS files on the right. There are options to create sub folders and save HRS files to these folders. We can filter HRS files by age and also have select all/none options for mass-delete etc.

We also have a button to open explorer and take us to the current HRS folder.

We can also edit ratings and override preferred distance here as on the last screen.

There are additional filters for the HDB horses (left): Age, distance (can override) and Group (we can create our own groups).

The small blue button with the 'R' allows us to reset form figures.

The race creation is as before apart from more filters and also the option to set evening races and/or random silks.

We can also save the current race configuartion as the default or re-load it.

Not gonna lie but this is mind boggling.
Will try when it's available and I'm sure it will be obvious once I do.

My current issue is when changing course and the type of race and it removes horses selected.

This looks like it will make trialling a much better experience to me. May have been asked before, but can we now give jockey instructions once a horse has been exported? So in our trial races and if we want to upload to the league too?

Basically most (not all) of the requests on this thread are in: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21344

There is no revolutionary change to the way the kit works it's just hopefully easier to use.

This is not working yet but when you change the race details the field should update and only ineligible runners removed.

You can change the orders for the HDB file horses (see last screenshot) for your own trials but not the saved HRS files (for the league). If you wish to change orders in the HRS files you have to re-export the individual HRS file.

Looks good and seems as though it will make trialling more enjoyable and the horses easier to manage when exported.

I have a couple of questions.

1. Were you able to implement something that ensured all horses were exported at 100% fitness and condition regardless of when exported.

2. Can you access a list of past performance big race wins from in the game. You could do this in SO6, I think they appeared in a box with some other info when you clicked on the name, but this feature was missing in SO7. Would be good to have that back or better still access to in game form as on the horse screen in the game.

Also, are you planning a tester group like with SO7 and have you any plan/target for a potential release?

Yes this was done.

To be honest I don't recall how this actually worked. I have a feeling it was removed because of how the list of feature wins was stored in the exported file. It changed in SO7 so that if the user was playing with a modded schedule (common) then the references would be all wrong and this would mean the wrong races were displayed. If it is considered important I could maybe think of a way around it so that the race details are displayed correctly but it could be a pain to implement.

I'm not sure yet. The play is to just add features on the list and see how it looks. I expect there will be some kind of testing. Most likely on this forum (or maybe just a separate kit build for testing here). The hope is to release in 2025 probably Q2 but it's all fairly loose at the moment.

Not sure how my reply ended up tagged on to Marks post ... but this bit was me !

Fantastic. To hear that all exports will be at 100% is worthy of a major announcement in the league forum I'm sure many others will be as pleased as I am.

The list of wins is no big deal if its a pain to implement and I for one would happily trade that for the 100% fitness.

Good to have a bit of clarity re a release date too as people will now feel better persevering with SO7 for another couple of league seasons.
