 Pre-season trials?
Hello everyone, happy New Year.
There's been a lot of general discussion over on Discord about how we're hopefully improving our horses (big shout out to Josh for all his help and experience in breeding champion horses).
Discussion has now inevitably moved to "how good are they?"
Hoping to drum up some excitement and enthusiasm and maybe see if we can get some pre-seasons trials arranged. For anyone who does have access to Discord pop on over and have a read of some of chat!
In the meantime if anyone has thoughts or suggestions on how we can best get some pre-season trials organised, or even if you are just interested in some pre-season trials, post a comment here so that we can see what interest there is.
I really enjoyed my first season and have been on a 6 month journey of improvement hoping to catch up to the rest of you!
Cheers, Paul

 Re: Pre-season trials?
At the moment there is no agreed/confirmed start date for a new season as far as I am aware so arranging some trials might well be the logical next step to see if there are enough people still interested.
I can see no chance of an SO8 league before the second half of 2026 as Mark has suggested the game wont be out until next year and people will need at least 6 months playing time to get a league team together.
Therefore we potentially have 12 to 18 months to continue with SO7. That is probably time for 2 more seasons so people may well think it is worth continuing/restarting with SO7.
What we really need is an announcement of a realistic start date for the next season (if there is going to be one) so that we can see who is still available to help with all the jobs and people can put their teams together.

Usually it's over a year after the game has come out before a league is played. So the odds would be long to get a SO8 league game in 26. Look how many game resets it took to get where we at on SO7.

You are right, I forgot to factor in the RK. Even more reason to crack on with SO7 then.

 Re: Pre-season trials?
I’d be up for some trials, but we really need a season start to work out if there’s time. Personally I suspect there is time.

 Re: Pre-season trials?
Would love some trials, need to see how my 3yr milers are. They have improved a fair bit but it didn't take much to beat what I had.
Happy to run some if that is required.
Also happy if some dont have coms if that means we can do a few extra.
A few weeks of random trials always seem to get the interest going for everyone.

Theres no reason for it to take over a year, just learn from past experiences and testing/trials.

Straight after release he is probably busy fixing problems that come up in the actual game. There has to be a new one for every version of SO. Not sure why. That's why CK and RK performance don't always match up as they are different.

What organisation is required? Is it something that any of us can do?
