Stu I've put another tenner on u to win the AW :D champs. No pressure but I don't like to lose money

Even though I don't have any runners in them races they are the first ones I watch.

Do not know what has happened with the timing of my commentary for races 31 - 35....was fine when I recorded it....now when it is played back I have come early by about 3 - 5 seconds....story of my life really

Anyway kind of ruins the experience (so my wife told me) as I'm telling you who has won when there is still half a furlong to go. Races 36 - 39 are fine. Go figure!

Thank you Mr Batt.

Btw. Everybody it wasn’t my races with the Coffee spill!

3 flat winners for the week will do, several of you seemed to pick "Cornish Wing" in Del's tipping comp. and he won, which was a surprise for me.

Well done to all winners & the Team that put it all together.

One of those weeks for me, I think I had 13 top 5's across both codes with no winner. I am however excited for Ascot, most of my trialing happens there, and I've got some very well handicapped horses so I'd like to hope for 2/3 wins across both codes next week.

2 winners this week and a too many 2nds. Couldn’t even win a race with 3 horses in it and I had 2 of the entries. Think I might revise my 40 winner target over both codes to 40 2nds over both codes.

Out of interest are we breaking after Week 6 for a couple of weeks or so or carrying on. Not fussed either way just thought I’d ask the question?

"It's a funny old game Saint"

Well after my woe is me post the other week things have taken something of a turn. 2 flat winners and 5 NH winners in week 5 when I had previously only had 2 & 4 all season long. Still well below my usual numbers but at least I am moving in the right direction now.

Three graded wins over the NH as well. Dame Rapunzel coming back to last years form and taking the Grade 2 Amlin 1965 Chase off level weights. Made even more surprising by the fact that she got well beaten in the Grade 3 that she won last season last time out.

Her dam Rapunzel took the listed mares hurdle over 3 miles. She had won some good races a few seasons ago but didnt do all that much last season and barely scraped in this. Three duck eggs to start the season running in 3m handicaps and then she goes and wins a level weight 3m albeit only against her own sex. Plan was to qualify for the Pertemps but she will probably be a bit high in the weights now.

Best of all though was Annie Golden taking the Hennessy. The strange thing about her is that I went back to an old game and her sire and dam both won in the VERY FIRST season of SO7 so as someone once said it's a funny old game Saint.

Let's clear up the coffee spill. On the race file I got the race runner had put a note about spilling coffee. Now as some of you know Stu and me have ongoing dialogue through whatsapp most days and after a conversation we had had it led me to believe he had run the Redcar races so that is why I thought it was him. Apologies to whoever it was.

Re the non commed Redcar race. I did comm the version in dropbox but it was a maiden handicap and some non maidens were in it so Alex correctly reran it but too late for any comms to be put on.

It is because you are commenting from when the scrolling race card comes up rather that when the video starts, i usually have to edit them up to sync up with video but i forget to do it with those ones

Yes all my own fault I'm afraid. Had instructions from Martin to say start talking as soon as the video plays and for some reason I have been doing it once the race card comes up. Guilty of doing what I complain about at work so much - not reading things properly!
And coming so soon after I said how good us commentators are - that stings!

So apologies to everyone, thanks to Alex for fixing up all the ones that had been incorrect up until now. Should be a lot better from now on.

Post Re: Season 17 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Some day for me with 2 Royal Ascot winners, I was confident going in with the ground firm and most of my trialing being done at Ascot.

Blue Peter Revival winning the Windsor Castle was a light shock, fortunately for once they went hell for leather and allowed the closers to get involved. That's his season a success.

Texas Gin, I was very confident going in, everything fell right, Firm ground at Ascot, light weight, 9f, good draw. Got out the gates, bullied them from the front and when Davy's two both had a crack I thought it was all over, but she dug in and toughed it out to get back up after being 2 lengths down at one point, unreal result for me and that will most likely be the highlight for the whole season unless I can grind out a group result with Titanfall.

Thanks all runners, comms etc and well done all winners

Well done Nick.

I also enjoyed two winners at Royal Ascot (my first ever winners at Royal Ascot) and a few places as well so a very pleasing day. My flat stable seem to be coming into a bit of form after a slow start to the season.

A nice win too over the jumps in the Scottish Borders National. My form in the NH has tailed off somewhat since the bright start, but that is to be expected. Still well out performing my expectations.

Good day for me all round. 4 winners on the NH, with my hurdlers leading the way for the team. I played a bit extra for my hurdlers an didn't touch the Chasing game, an it shows.

2 winners on day 1 at Ascot, another 1-2 for Father an daughter combo of Velocity World an Silly Little Style. Starting to feel a bit sorry for him finishing 2nd to his daughter all the time :) 4 in a row for her now though. Miracle of Maldives making it 3 group1's in a row now too. Surprising as my 3yo milers are usually useless

Cheers to all keeping it going, especially with more work to do running now
