Mike,
"Limited use of new uploads to keep horses circulating in the game and keep form stability".
As a stated (possibly vaguely in the manifesto LOL) I want to see horses stay in the league and form stay solid.
Personally I would have no uploads at all.
No retirements, no uploads or players will just get rid of their poor horses and we will not see many runners in the low handicaps.
BUT, I am sure there will have to be some compromise on that.

well yeah exactly, and the period up until the new season can allow for all trainers to give their views and a new rule book be formed based on these views and opinions.

Yes very true Colin maybe best to get a president vote in first before trying to sort rules out. Maybe a poll to give Jim an idea of what trainers would prefer???
If so an option to say other too and then put there name in a post underneath

my view steve would be to have uploads, so so4 can still be played with great purpose during the league!!!i would say one upload window every 8 weeks, but limit if u want the number of uploads and number of retirements. do not include transfers so that trainers cant use another league as an overflow for their worse horses.

yeah, but there should definitly be uploads and retirements, although less than currently available.
imagine u upload your stable, continue playing so4 and four weeks later u have some new best horses . u wouldnt be able to upload them for 1 year if there were no uploads , as you would have to wait for a new season.
i would suggest that there should be 2 upload windows - how many weeks long would the season be? lets say 20 weeks then have a window at week 7 and week 14

Flat season would be around 30 weeks, maybe uploads at week ten and twenty - but not that many.
Similarly NHC two uploads - again not too many.
I am in favour of no retirements, but auctions.

yeah 1 mid season or 2 small ones during season. Just reduce the number of uploads allowed during each window and also the number of retirements.

Not sure off top of my head - would need to look at that in more depth.
I would have to create the fixture list first.

Steve do you think you will have the time to be president?
Where I'm coming from is your news letter is great and you put a lot of time in to it but due to work and person life it has been delayed some weeks and others have been cancelled, I'm not saying you should give up your work and person life.
Also after the scatter incident you said "All newsletters are being scrapped - what scatters has done might be the tip of the iceburg, but there is far too much going on below the surface for my liking." you where also going to remove all your horses.
It may sound like I'm working against you getting in as president but I want the league to be build on the strong foundations that colm has left behind.
Also if there is a problem during a season the powers that be make a quick and fair decision and everyone has to stand by that decision, this should be done behind closed doors and not posted on the forum as this will only start a war of words and people say things they don't mean in the heat of the moment.
