East Pier Whitby wrote: Thanks guys, Hoping for some involvement from the players. There will be a form you can fill in and submit with selected information and an e-mail link for your stable information. Desk Top Publishing was a bit limiting, think the website will be more interactive. Also I can just put info in as and when I do it, without having to finish the full newsletter by a certain time. Obviously the upload will be without the cell borders so should look better presentation wise. Steve If anyone has any racecourse photos I could use them. I already have some of Meydan which were brilliant thanks Nick. send to speight921@btinternet.com
When you say you want involvement from the players what exactly are you looking for Steve?

As the season evolves I would really like to have your thoughts about your runners, breeding lines, intended engagements, anything of interest, the email link will enable you to do this quite easily without any fuss.
The form will be just the standard info: age, place of birth your involvement in racing, your favourite horse, hopes and plans for the season etc.
It is really up to you what you want to send, any information will be used as I will be able to create links.
I am hoping the website will be operational in the next few weeks - will be UK flat initially, we will see how it goes.
A screenshot of the intended racecard format is now available - page two should be available in the next few days.

Not sure about putting in jockeys yet.

Great idea Steve, I found last season no one really talk about there horses compared to the previous season where most trainers would post comments about how there horse ran.
I hope all the trainers get into this and add comments about there horses it adds a touch of realism.

me 2 kenny, i like the banter people have with their horses, and would really like to see some stable previews, even if done on this forum. like each trainer discuss each of the horses they have uploaded for the league before the season starts.

Thanks,
In effect the trainers who send the information will get the custom built stable pages.
I aim to spend around one hour per day updating the site, so we will see what that equates to when we get underway.

When the website is up and running there will be an e-mail link on the home page, all you will need to do is click the link and send the information. The form will work in the same way but will be sent like a booking form.
If you look at the first screenshot in the thread you will see the e-mail link at the top. I haven't added the form link yet but it will be somewhere on the home page as well.

I'll put something together each week pre and post race, If I'm lucky enough to have any group performer I'll sent info on its breeding, gallops reports etc.

Thanks,
Intended website launch date is November 1st 2010
If anyone wants to send info before that date please use the e-mail address above. I will be able to prepare individual stable sites pre launch.
There will be more screenshots to follow over the next few days.

Got about ten but they are a long way short of top class, will be competitive in 0-80 or 0-90 handicaps off low weights probably. Happy enough with that.
