Id get him trialing with your others and see how he fairs.
I have a question for the jumps boys. Should I be gelding my boys that I send jumping??? Does it make a difference?

Re: Where are all the NHC league trainers?
I geld all mine they settle better. Seem to run better as well
Hopefully he trials well PJ but although times don't really matter those are really slow and its on good to firm to boot. Mine need to run at least 10 seconds faster on good or worse for me to hope I have anything half decent to trial.

Thanks Leon. A sad day for any male to lose his tackle. But its the best for everyone.

Well yourself, Doza and I are in and there are a few more new NH trainers who I forget. So it will be good fun and the schedule is great. Try and save a few for the cheltenham handicaps would be my advise!

Re: Where are all the NHC league trainers?
Matt,
To be able to mix it in the NHC league you need to geld all your male horses, this makes them settle better and become more consistent in the race builder. Obviously you don't have to geld them permanently and a simple CTRL-ALT-DEL command can bring back your game after exporting them (make sure you save before you geld them).

I to Geld all my horses, in the pass i used to geld them and leave them be it only makes a different if the horse is excitable or as a normal Disposition. If they are laid back types it does not effect them i don't think. Breeding Jumpers is damn hardwork. Am getting sick of it already only done about 10 seasons mixed over 2 saved games. Will be my last day of trailing and breeding them am done for good.

Re: Where are all the NHC league trainers?
Yes breeding can be pretty frustrating.
Going to give it a few more seasons then will be done too. Only seem to be improving certain distances and gone backwards in others which is incredibly frustrating as the distances I'm going backwards in are the ones I need to improve.
And can't improve my grand national horses. Nothing stays as well as Famous Duel or Quanah Parker and they both share out the trials no matter what I try. And they both from about 100 seasons ago. Looks like I will be uploading Famous Duel. Had a mare win the national twice but she can't get near those two.

So hard to get good speed back into them. Got a few new stayers which i think are better than last seasons crop, only time will tell if they are good enough. Hope trainers add extra staying horses this season, me and Hooley have added some nice ones to the schedule.

Re: Where are all the NHC league trainers?
I have the same problems.
Have resorted to going back to my backed up games. Transferring same speed horses who were good in the barn and th Ck to the game pool and adding them to my new games. Am hoping this will produce a few good ones. If not thats the end of my playing.
