 Re: NH Week 1 Races
So first season in the NH. I found it really hard before last season to get good horses. They were all ex flat but they were simply useless in the NH so didnt bother entering. Anyway after help from Craig and Jamie I've assembled a small, hopefully to be expanded, team. I ran 14 horses in the first week. The yard had TWO winners, a third and three 4ths, which we are over the moon with!!
Nutted Me(5th) - Ran in the opening 2mH. Very happy with that and beaten by some good yards. Outpaced over the last 2. Worry is she wont like it soft.
Upwards(8th) - My only horse to have come through bumpers and and the only horse to want it soft! Ran well to a point and will be aimed at handicaps from now on. Have better already to upload.
Chilli and Mash(4th) - Really good run but don't know where to go from here? Wait to see what mark she gets
Africa(12th) - Didn't seem to stay 2m6, seemed like he'd been shot 2f out, and will drop down to 2m3/4 and maybe in a chase to see how he does there.
Night Time(12th) - Disappointing and I think far better than that. Out the back and never really picked up. Made ground up from 1m out but then hit another flat spot and was one paced to the line. Might keep for handicaps.
Dad Would Know(3rd) - After my big write up and stating she jumped well she decided to smash the first and a further 4 flights, with the odd slow jump too for good measure, and stayed on to finish 3rd. But that was only because Hemz's horses tipped up at the last. Id like to think she will jump better than that but its not inspiring!
Cheers Liz(Fell) - My only faller. She had jumped very well, up to her departure, and was still traveling though it was too far out to know how she might have done.
Damn Fool(WON) - Race had no pace so my fella took it up but the race was still run at a crawl. He battled well+quickened again at the end of the race to win but I wouldn't fancy taking on the placed horses again in a real race. Worried his mark might be too high.
Northern Lights(4th) - Last for the most the race and was badly outpaced when the race quickened around 3 out. She stayed on well through beaten horses to take 4th. Hard to know what that means but will look at her options in the morning.
I Remember When(4th) - Traveled well, so he should for a 5f sprinter, and took it up 3 out before the class horses swept him aside with ease. Again very happy with that.
Team Awesome(6th) - A couple of mistakes but she will do that over 3m+ and was outclassed in this. She did run wide for the whole race so I hope she might be a bit better but she wouldn't get near the ones who beat her.
Hermione(WON) - She was out of the screen at halfway, so luckily jumped well throughout the race. Scything her way through the field over the last 4 or 5 fences to take it up she was headed again 2 or 3 out but stayed on once more to win nicely enough. OVER THE MOON
Blood Diamond(6th) Jumped well and was just one paced. Is no better than he showed in this.
Creme Da La(10th) - Sadly outclassed in my own race and there's not much more to say apart from what price Praxal for the Champion Hurdle. Hugely impressive, Thunder.

 Re: NH Week 1 Races
That's a bit weird jimmy, try loading a game, save/exit then going into the kit.
One runner for me this week, never nearer than at the finish!
TOM will be updated at 6pm I think.

 Re: NH Week 1 Races
What a week! 21 runners, 9 winners, 1 second, 2 thirds and 3 fourths. That means 15 out of 21 horses finished in the top 4, mega chuffed! Well done to all winners, very impressive wins from Mission Impossible, Conservation Piece and a really good late burst of speed from Pythagore to get up and win. Looks like being an exciting season ahead, will be posting an update on my stable over the weekend.
