Paul im breeding two milers chasers today so i will see if my 6 year olds are still donkeys.

How do u decide if only one makes it but u got two with the same ability, all my horses are real life horses so whoever was my fav in real gets in.

Just bred some two milers and my 5 year olds are still much better, good i don't need to change any thing :D

My Trials are run on a points system

I Get the final 15 to 20 who qualify for the final
i then run 20 Trial Finals
I Use a pts system to unearth my most consistent (only top 5 in each trial score points)
1st 6pts 2nd 4 pts 3rd 3 pts 4th 2 pts 5th 1 pts
at the end of the trials your top pts scorer is obviously your most consistent horse

How do you trial

& what about other trainers how do you trial (Pick who goes in your team)
would be fascinated to see if anyone does it completely differently

Sorry paul but I do the same as you I trial over 2m,2m4f,3m,3m3f.4m,4m4f all at Cheltenham On Good Ground except the 4m4f race which of course I use Aintree for my national horse the only difference I only run 5 Races per final I tink by then you should know what your top 5 horses will be I only trial up to 5yo which ever horse qualifys say Peek A Boo which is my top 2m Chaser so far I will run him against his older Versions which I have up to 9yo this will be done the week I will upload my horse's to see which age he's best at.

At the Moment I will bring back a few from last season as I haven't done much breeding as I have spent more time on ps3 and doing the Schedule as for Flat I doubt I will have a yard if I do it will be cast offs and handicaps.

My intention was not to mislead (thanks for jumping all over that Matt)
My intention was to encourage others not to write off entering the lge because there times are not close
to the ones on the forum You no full well i have always tried to help and encourage new entrants into the lge i certainly would never intentionally mislead anyone.

Do Times really mean much look at last season my milers clocked the quickest times that were ever posted on the forum
(Not saying the quickest just the quickest posted)
How many races did they win 2 or 3 how many G1s NONE

Times give you an idea of who Your own best horses are but when it comes down to it i stand by my point that
they don't mean much

What are you on about? Its funny how differently people react when its me that posts. Place is a joke.

Your milers posted the fastest ever times on the forum? So what? Under what conditions? With pacemakers? The racekit is 100% flawed and the most of the races in the league last season, bar the sprints, were a farce.

Times are VERY important make no mistake. But as im apparently jumping all over you and saying you're deliberately misleading people, which I never have, I'll let you get on with it.

But I dont really know what im talking about. I've never done anything in the league

Post Re: New season
This jumps season I have 12 or 13 horses in each final and I run them 8 times at Cheltenham, I also trial them three times over 2 furlongs shorter and two furlongs longer just so I got more knowledge about them. I think knowing u horses is very important and I know people love having runners to watch but I'd rather run them less but put them in races I think they have a chance to do something.

I have questions about my horses ability this season but I know more about them. Luckily I love to watch my horses trial in CK mode, I know some people hate it.

Matt; Paul was talking about NH times, not flat. If you read the post that Paul is replying to cahiller asks if there is any point in him even entering a NH team because his bumper times are miles off Paul's. To which Paul replies
'Honestly mate times mean absolutely nothing especially on the NH side...'

Read the whole thread before jumping on your high horse. This has nothing to do with you, or who likes your or not, this has to do with the fact that you have jumped on Paul for something he said which actually had nothing to do with what you jumped on him about.

We all know about the racekit, blah blah blah. It affects us all, no need to keep dragging it up.

Well i actually think when it comes to bumpers then times do matter. As there is no handicapping for bumpers it is going to be complete waste of time and stable space entering a bumper horse which is 5-10 seconds slower. Or do you disagree on that point? And overall on the NH times still play some part.

In Paul's reply he uses his FLAT horses as a reason why times are useless. I completely disagree with that point.

Maybe you should read the posts before replying to mine.

Good day!

I guess i took your comment about misleading people to heart because of your history on here
of rubbing up people the wrong way and your argumentative ways you have had more fights than Evander Holyfield

You always come on here and playing the victim yet its you that are usually the 1st person to start & be critical about ANYTHING
you always say what a joke this place is yet you come back time and time again
you always say you are never going to enter the lge but always end up doing so

Good of you to admit that you did react differently because it was me. You're about the only one who ever has.

I never meant it as a criticism of you. I try to help thats all. But nearly all the time it is taken as criticism. I comment on the schedule then Im out of order, others do and its absolutely fine! Thats why its a joke.

I wont be entering one horse in either code.

Enough now. Back on topic. Nobody is going to enter, and no new players will want to enter if all they ever see and read about the league is a bunch of old women arguing and b*tching about the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over... Posts will be deleted and the thread locked if you can't keep on topic.

So as Paul has now been good enough to admit he did react differently because it was me who posted I presume you are writing your apology as I type this?

Accepted.

I am prepared to help people as much as anybody else. If someone posts the polar opposite of what I believe am I allowed to comment on that?
