Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
What a turn around, the last two days were awful and today probably with the jumps the best.
Salsabil 3rd, ran out of gas in the last furlong. Moon Madness 2nd, a fantastic warm up race for the St.Leger. Sun Princess 1st, had a great battle with Mr Taylors horse. Cezanne 1st, is the star of my team.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Rod Roach (11th) - Continues to show very little Stand and Stare (7th) - Looked likely to finish higher before finding little Cigarettes and Alcohol (11th) - Slightly agitated before the start but would have struggled anyway Mince Pie (7th) - Expected a bit more returning to 6f Sweet Luna (2nd) - Travelled so well but found nothing when asked for more Rehearsal Hall (5th) - Stayed on well to get in the money
A couple of decent performances.
Well done to the winners and placers

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Pretty sub par week this week after last weeks success. I came into this week with a feeling I had a chance (however slim) with most of my entries. My better hopes ran bad and my lesser hopes ran good. Still though I had a win, second and pocketed some Group 1 minor checks. Have some nice subs for the break to look forward too. Thanks to the admins of the league for another well run week in racing and congrats to all the winners! By my own unofficial count 16-17 different trainers won at least one race this week. That, my friends, is what it's all about.

Missed out on nominating horses for Royal Ascot due to hectic week at Cheltenham, gutted.
Good luck all.

Just want to wish Ghostzapper all the best with his namesake in the third leg of the Triple Crown this week. Sure to be a brilliant race, I think my girl goes close.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Thanks Boys. I've been wondering what type of race he would like, over 1m2 the faster the better. I only trialled him twice over 1m4 and the last furlong was a long way. I just hope the jockey doesn't put him at the back, let him run and whatever will be will be.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Was a bit shocked how low the numbers were this week maybe down to cheltenham 5 runners 5 seconds that has to be some sort of record surely i must be the unluckiest trainer ever Race 2 Rough Number 2nd ran a great race was not far off winning best performance so far Race 3 Twilighted 2nd ran very well very pleased with him Race 4 Quezy 2nd not bad for a miler in a 6 furlong race Race 8 McCormick you have to be kidding 2nd again but that was a storming run from McCormick Race 10 Sheepard Express yes you guessed it 2nd well done winners & placers comms were mighty again Davey i love them thanks to the team

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
R1 Ned Kelly (6th) - 7f specialist. doesn't stay 1m and knew he would fade badly in the last furlong. R6 Hedgeley Road (4th) - solid effort. never nearer than at the finish. R8 Killing Time (9th) - deserved an opportunity at the highest level but clearly wasn't up to it. got a bad ride as well which didn't help. R9 Scripture (1st) - strongly fancied last week but could never get into the race from a bad draw. straight mile at Ascot suited and she won well.
well done to all winners and thanks to Davy for the great comms.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
All ran Ok.
Queenledo 5th not a bad run for a dirt horse. Carry On Katie 3rd, not sure why the jockey took it up so early. Distant Relative 1st, loved the 7 furlongs. Point of Light 3rd, ran well considering he hates ascot. Desert Sky 3rd, took it up to soon. Hopefully will improve at other courses.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Good day for me although I had two winners in in the Ascot Stakes and Windsor Castle Cwm Bargoed finishing third in the Prince Of Wales give me more pleasure than both wins and i still have hope of winning my first Group 1 outside the Group 1 Handicaps with him and Maid Of Orleans run well to finish second in the royal Hunt Cup i think Jamies 2yo Epitah will be unbeaten all season.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Well no winners for me but a great day as had my first ever placing in a group race 3rd in the Jersey stakes. It's great to have a couple competitive in something other than the handicaps (although most of mine still are handicappers) Congrats to all winners and placers.

Rod Roach (6th) - Best showing so far but that's not saying much Zeltweg (9th) - A poor run in the Royal Hunt cup
Only a couple of runners, never have many at Ascot.
Well done to all winners and placers

Well done to all winners and placers If you dont mind me asking Follis why not many runners? Do you enter all the handicaps possible?
