Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Never have I been so thrilled to have a horse beaten, what an absolute champion Ghostzapper is. Fantastic race, fantastic horse, fantastic result for the league.
Very well done John, richly deserved.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Thanks Boys. That was a very long last furlong. The jockey rode the perfect race, send him to the front final two furlongs and hold on for dear life. Wow didn't think it was possible. I never run a horse in the wrong race but he will have a go in a 1m2f grass race, possibly York then on to Santa Anita. I can relax now, been along week waiting for him to run. Shmooze 1st, nice run I've got one decent 2yo. Stop Day 4th, always run's her race. Miesque 5th, cant win unless she gets a fast pace. Acatenango 6th, this horse is a head case. One minute he's runs at the back and now he goes mad in front.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
R23 Happy Ranger (4th) - boxed in on the rail but wasn't good enough when he got out. R25 Cry Me A River (2nd) - didn't stay 7f in the ck but the trip suited her well in the league! R26 Paperback Writer (9th) - trip was too short and could never get into the race. R28 Boom Boom (0) - hopelessy outclassed. R29 Hanging Garden (4th) - decent effort. couldn't quite get on terms with the first 3. R35 Tombstone (9th) - really poor run even if the trip was on the sharp side. probably wants 1m4f and nothing but 1m4f.
first of all congratulations go to John for winning the triple crown with Ghostzapper, that's some achievement and if I'm not mistaken, a first for the league. well done also to all other winners and thanks to Davy for the excellent comms.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Looney (8th) - Another poor run William Butler (9th) - Missed the break and used up too much energy catching up Little Frankie (10th) - Given far too much to do by the jockey pulling her back repeatedly Franken (9th) - Continues to show very little Get What She Wants (1st) - Wins the Duke of Edinburgh handicap off top weight, first ever win at the big Ascot meeting. Moohimm (6th) - Decent enough run in the Queen Alexandra William Strider (3rd) - Good run in the Carlisle Bell Sweet Luna (4th) - Good run over a furlong too short Delighted to get any win on the flat but an Ascot win is extra special. Congrats to Ghost on his US triple crown, truly remarkable to do it in the league

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Terrible week for me with a few minor checks. In a bit of a slump now.
Way to go on the Triple Crown Zapper! Sorry Duke can't help but think my horse on the front end weakened your horse some. Maybe.
Another great week of racing in the books as the SO5 league winds down. Thanks to all involved.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Was looking at my noms races this week and results from last week. Some thoughts... The horse named Seven for trainer Darren Robert ran in two races last week. Race 25 and race 32. Speaking of the name Darren. There are three trainers with the first name Darren. In game Darren Robert names his trainer Darren Logan for a few of his horses. Stranger still Ghostzapper who gives his name in TOM as John Morgan has a handful of horses who in game are trained by. . . Darren. Weird. Trainers John Morgan and Kevin Meenaghan has 21 horses in his flat stable. Couldn't let this one go. Sorry Jalupen... Quote: I have 1 horse in my stable rated under 100 and he could have ran in a gp3 this week but instead he goes in R1 over 7f now hopefully he will win if he does he goes to st james palace next week, if he gets stuffed he WILL win the hunt cup UKRA WK6 R9 Royal Hunt CupP (4) silks Pot Black Stephen Rann F Tylicki 10 0 102 102 8/1 - 0 Steadied early. Pulled up. Sustained injury. (opened 10/1).

Quote: Trainer Kevin Meenaghan has 21 horses in his flat stable. Kev won the tipping competition last season and thus gets an extra spot in both stables. Ghost came second and could choose which stable to get an extra spot in

The reason some of my horse run under different name i.e Darren Logan & Darren Robert is because I exported the horses from different game saves in which I used different trainer names. As for my horse (*Seven*) running in two races I believe it was down to my method for entering horses in races which lead to me being able to enter it twice. My method: 1. Open in new tab for all eligible races for all of my horses. 2. Enter horse in suitable races where applicable without refreshing the tabs. I would like to state from now on I will ensure I don't have any of my horses running in two races in the same day/week. Since I don't post much I would like to say that I love this community from the weekly newsletters to TOM and you guys do a great job making everyone feel involved, I just hope I can improve when SO6 comes out as I'm still seeking my first winner in the SO5 flat league . Keep it up!!!

On the internet I always Use my second name, I prefer John but my old man won the argument and called me Darren I don't call my stable with one name, my jumps stables are named after my good horses from last season. My flat team are called Zapper- Ghost-Ghostzapper-John-Darren, and possibly something else.
