Race 3 Alvaro Di Maria 3rd ran on late on to nick 3rd

Race 6 Termination 4th ran well off top weight

Race 8 Roberto Santini WINNER he bags a big one again and gave weight away undoubtably my best ever staying jumper
so pleased with him did not deserve to win last week but won well today

R1 Time Charter (4th) - track didn't suit and trip was too far. good effort to finish 4th.
R2 Little Drummer Boy (3rd) - ran well but had no chance with the winner.
R3 Glitterball (9th) - second run at Aintree and has been hopeless both times.
R4 Sea Shanty (4th) - needs a stiffer track and was never going. did well to finish 4th.
R5 Pinewood (2nd) - ran well for a long way but no match for the winner.
R6 Beware Of The Hare (6th) - never got competitive.
R7 Age Of Reason (10th) - yet another who wants a stiffer track. never got involved.
R8 Bad Dream (0) - chase debut. dreadful over the bigger obstacles in the ck and not much better in the league.
R9 Flakey Dove (F 4th) -
R10 Upside Down (6th) - jumps terrible on park courses but is foot perfect over the national fences. in front far too early then got outpaced from the home turn. ran on again after the last but couldn't reach the leaders. decent effort.

Devastated. Compatriot would surely have won had she jumped either of the second last, or last fences with any degree of fluency?

That result hurt, congrats to Darren though, especially with a gamebred. The time is very good too. I'm annoyed!

WOW :D
Many thanks for all the congratulations on the National win.
I am a bit suprised, I thought he would run well but run out of puff in the last 2 furlongs.
Here are a few facts about the horse as a lot of people, me included, may not have bothered with him.
He never raced over jumps, was a flat horse, but had a liking for soft ground and a good jumps stat bar.
He never managed to win a group 1 on the flat, plenty of 2's & 3's, and on more than one occasion was only denied by a stablemate.
His potential, although only 80-85%, never deteriorated so I kept him to export.
Most suprisingly he never stayed a yard past 2 miles on the flat and his best distance was 1m7f :o
Of course he was plotted up and trained to perfection for the day
I shall enjoy watching it tonight without hitting the tab key once.

Congrats to all winners and placers and the team for running the races.

R12 Shakespeare (13th) - trip was too far.
R13 Oceanic (1st) - won a match race.
R14 Daylight (6th) - trip was too far.
R15 Wonder Of You (3rd) - good run. winner was far too good.
R16 Night Nurse (8th) - ran ok but hoped he would finish a bit closer.
R17 Sky Blue (3rd) - massive run. I thought she would fade out of contention from the last but managed to hang on grimly. congrats to Darren on winning the race but have to agree that Jamie's horse was very unlucky.
my other runner Forty Winks was still going very well when falling at the 20th.
R18 Topper (10th) - another really poor run.
R19 A Deeper Blue (11th) - track was too sharp and wants much softer ground.

congrats to all winners and placers.

Ibiza (11th) - Only beat two home
Prince Lune (9th) - Was way out of the handicap and it showed
Zod World (10th) - Outclassed and better over further, beat 1 home
T C Flyer (7th) - Ran a blinder in the national from a long way out of the weights. Shame he couldn't quite pick up some prize money
Dry County (PU) - Too much weight in the national
Call The Police (4th) - Consistent at the moment. Outpaced and then ran on again late on to grab some money
Zod Sterling (13th) - A poor run, definitely needs softer ground
Westmoreland Road (6th) - Last of the finishers in the bumper.

A poor day for me with only 1 making the money.

Well done Darren on your huge National win, mind you that has pushed me out of the top 10 leading trainers

R23 Carmen Blue (2nd) - ran well. needed a fast jump at the last but didn't get one.
R26 Carmen Black (3rd) - runs well one week then bad the next. good effort this time and almost got back up for 2nd. likely to be hopeless again next week.

A good end to two awful weeks.

Niche Market 0, no idea where that came from
Sidbury Hill 5th, been a disappointment.
Flying Oats 5th was running on at the end but the trainer had a mare by putting her in that race.
Call Me Later 1st, improving fast needs a couple more weeks of good ground.
Generosa 1st, hopefully will get a chance in a big race now.
