Post Re: Just to clear something up
To be honest this is all a bit much, Doc has been slated from all corners just for exposing a potential hack, you should be thanking him. We've all had our tiffs with him in the past but to be honest he's done the best thing here in exposing it for everyone to see. It's not like he's entered the league, won everything and then admitted cheating. In fact it was pretty good of him to NOT enter the league after his findings and people need to get off his back. Fact is SO6 is a completely new game and there is the possibility of not even exporting horses and an "online" so I'd suggest people wait until it comes out before making a decision on joining a league or not. In fact people spending all the time in the world on the game and doing all this ttf nonsense ruins it just as much as hackers imo. I was able to play once a week and never got near the top in the league despite a few big wins. The league season is nearly finished and SO6 is going to be very different so I'd suggest finishing the league off and then we can all start a fresh forgetting all this stuff.

Beat me to it Nick, I think it was for the best that it came out. My problem is it should have come out sooner, We ALL should have been told when it came up in January. U don't solve anything by putting it under the carpet for a later date.

I think if Doc wants to enter next season then he should be allowed, u only got to read past discussions in here to find out that more than a few knew how to Hex Edit horses, I think u cant shoot the messenger.

I cant see the point in checking the files now, the season is over it's time to move on. I think mistakes have been made and I think we all need to learn from them. Time to wipe the slate clean and move on to So6.

Completely agree with Nick and ghost, DocHay has done the league a great service by exposing vulnerabilities in the horse files and if SO6 does end up with horse files then I hope DocHay continues to look for and report any issues so they can be checked for in the anti-cheat software, although reading that the anti-cheat software hasn't been used over the last few seasons is extremely disheartening given prior events. What is the point in having it if you don't bother using it? It wasn't made just to find tampered horse files but to put trainers mind at rest and to help keep the peace.

Well done DocHay and keep up the good work!

I think this was poorly timed and thought out when it was dumped on us. Instead of enjoying the final two weeks of the last SO5 season it's now all about Dochay and his grand hack. Thanks for that. :? Maybe you could of told us before the season so we could hash it out or better yet after the season so we could deal with it for next time.

I wasn't once worried about cheaters when this was revealed but just totally put off by the arrogant way you revealed it.

Quote:
The Australian cheat was the only way to improve times instantly but was rectified, it has been suggested that a league player used the cheat, by me.

I found out how to hex edit the horses speed/stamina, it was a trade-off though, you couldnt keep sprint speed and stay all day and you couldnt improve the overall ability but it meant that if you can get one good horse at a distance, you can have same class horses for any distance you want, including much further than you can possibly run in the CK.

This was in the last season that I wasnt involved in and I emailed Leon the same day I found out to tell him as I had read you couldnt hex edit now, after posting some pictures of the same horse running good times at every distance of course

yeah, a lied filled post that some believed because we here expect honesty. http://www.startersorders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8798

I think Dickhay deserves a knighthood at the very least for his sterling work in the field of exposing the cheats of Starters Orders 5. What a man, my hero. It's good to see all those players exposed for the cheats they really are.

How many have we caught now?

Just you keith, you are the only proven Aussie cheat. Lines became Australian bred in the last 2 generations yet won 3yo UK races.

Thats the only 100% proven cheating ive seen. You have still to show that proof that you didnt use the aussie glitch, think it will be a long wait for that.

Photoshopped any bets recently?

Only another five years and the piggy bank might stretch to £50 on another donkey you fancy. Failed gambler, failed trainer of an online computer game and lifetime loser. That's about all you can prove.
